    Here’s what’s going on..

P0125 is popping up. Engine isn’t able to have closed loop cooling because it’s either not getting hot enough, or isn’t registering temperature correctly. and thinks it’s not hot enough.

    Here’s the facts..
I just installed a new thermostat. In the morning im going to install new ECT sensor. I have a brand new radiator and the coolant level is fine. No leaks. On the left side of the engine bay, the radiator hose that comes out the top of the radiator gets burning hot. But the hose that comes out the right side of engine is cold and never heats up. Im thinking maybe my water pump is no good. I have a clear tube that runs from the reservoir to the radiator, and the coolant never moves around. Eventually it starts to boil, but only right at the point where the radiator cap is. What should I do
I’m pretty sure it’s water pump but I don’t want to have to change it, someone please let me know what you think

No one has replied yet, but I’ve done more work since my last post, and would like to share because the problem has not been fixed.

I changed the ect sensor, and now the water flows and the new thermostat opens appropriately, yet the p0125 still pops up. Again, I’m not low on fluid, the water pump works, the thermostat is brand new, and the ext sensor is brand new. What else could it be that’s causing a p0125 code?

    thank you

Rats chewing the actual wiring running to the ECT.

I've repaired a handful of those Tacoma's with the same issue everytime, and it was always because of rats.

The google machine says you are incorrect. As the OP stated, the P0125 code is: Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control

Do you have an OBDII code scanner? Some have the ability to reset/clear the code. Have you done that? You can also disconnect the negative post on the battery for 30 minutes to reset the ECM. After you clear the code, does the check engine light stay off?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Well that must be a misprint in my 2000 factory manual and of course not being the at the dealer I would never get the updates.

Such is life I wonder how much more is wrong?
