There is a trend for the old style pocket knives. Some companies like finch are styling their "modern" folders like the old ones and using some of the older style blade shapes.

Even case have a “modern” style piece. They also have a few fairly upscale Tony Bose models for over $500.

So I won a hand forged knife in an eBay auction years ago, forgot about it, then found it this weekend in the garage. How hard is it to make a set of handles? Any recommendations for online sites to buy parts/pieces?

I’ve seen pics/vids of people doing the epoxy pour with shell casings, and I would really like to go that route, but may just buy some cheap handles and try that first.

Some of Spartan Blades are a little harder to find than others. This is a special edition Watch Works. These are mostly based on the the SHF platform which is a great knife. Then the designs are laser etched and the knives assembled by hand.

Amazon has a lot of options and probably a better choice is knifekits.com.

I have started with a very basic wood handle because that's the easiest to work with to get your feet wet.
Then when you get confident in your skills and maybe aquire better sanding and shaping tools etc. epoxy resins is really fun to play with.

Picked up the below kitchen knife blank using "AUS-10V Vacuum Treated Japanese super steel cutting core at 61+ Rockwell hardness. It is Reinforced with 67 layers of premium high-carbon stainless steel"

Not 100% sure about how the pins/bolts work but I am sure youtube has a video for that...

I'd also like to contrast the Damascus layers a bit more if easy/possible...

My mother liked the red handled benchmade station knife so much that I sent her home with it and
picked up another for myself with gray g10.

I really want the full set so go along with my meatcrafter, but I keep going back and forth between that or getting customs made from smaller makers.
