Help! I hate black rims.

Compromise?.......

wheels, rims, tires, mags, black, silver and a shoe.......multiple cranksets and a smig of fender to boot.

Hey @Realtacoshavenocheese - how about these? They came on some of the Trail Teams/ TRD FJCruisers. Mostly black, but there were a few bronze ones out there. I think someone on this forum has them on a Tacoma. Maybe one of the photoshop wizards out there can paste these on a red truck to see what you think.

 

They still do this in Chile. My friend told me they call Jeeps "Jeep Jeeps"

 

Basically what every single TW member is trying to achieve if we are being honest with ourselves……….

 

They take paint very well too. You can change the color easily and make them your own. Mine are on a black truck and people stop to say they like them.

 

Can we get a side shot?

 

I doubt if that truck gets driven anywhere, but what if you drive something like that on the road. You would need a tire service truck to change a flat tire.

I was wondering how anyone could step into their Taco without using a ladder on that thing. (The truck in question)

Realistically, I can see that being used at a truck show where people bring their enormous trucks to do silly tricks. Can't say I've been to one but the commercials can sometimes be unavoidable.

So, was the point to say using that re-configured Taco to say Taco owners are going for ultimate changes to their trucks? (In a joking way)

I think that's funny but nothing to get upset about...except to defend the owners that do upgrades but not to that extreme. lol

I second that. I actually make fun of trucks that are extra. This is definitely extra.

 

I'm running bronze rims on my tacoma. I like the look.

 

Well... This was waaaayy back in 2013 and my WRX STI was pretty much the lone wolf of Bronze wheels back then as the matte black wheel trend was in full effect.



Fast forward to January 2022 and my SR5 Trail edition and Bronze wheels are a stock color who woulda thunk?



Nevertheless, this is the internet and opinions are like assh*les, everyone has one but they think each other stink. That being said those of you that think the machined aluminum wheels look good the '80s called and want their rims back.
