Did a total of 43 miles this week. Today , I had a epic headwind in which I just felt like one giant ass sail. But the back feels ok. Painful, but I found this great cream to apply on muscles after a good ride+ hit it with the massage gun it's perfect. One step closer to the race in ely, you guys and this thread is motivation to keep going.

Have you used any chamois butter? I don’t use it on short rides but it helps on the longer rides. Keep it up!

Never dude, I've been using this stuff Nordic goddess body cream 1200mg THC /CBD very good for muscles and pain and it works really fast. There is also another one I use called "neuropathy" also very good .

PSA: For those that ride with contact lenses or prescription glasses, SportRX lenses are a great alternative. They snap right into Oakleys (or other brands) and have great optics. I have a few sets of lenses now. Polarized for fly fishing and the light amber in the pics for East Coast riding. I'll probably still wear contacts for those days in the Southeast when it's super humid.

Not much at all, like 1500.
The trail down was about as great as the views. :D
Thanks for that! I just started wearing corrective lenses. Apparently at 45 eyes don’t work as well. :(
I hate my glasses, such weird distortions and odd places where things are in focus and some are not. I started wearing contacts, which are much better in that regard. But getting them in and out is still shitty. Mostly, I don’t like that they feel dry within a few minutes if riding, all that wind just dries them out. Feels like I have an eyelash in my eyeball…
How are these in terms field of focus?

They are 99% as good as contact lenses, except when they get wet with sweat. I'll have to begin carrying a microfiber cloth with me I think. Out on the East Coast, they'll get foggy once it gets humid so I may switch back to contacts in the summer. For out West, it should be perfect because there are no contact lenses to dry out (I get the same dry contact lens effect when I'm home in Boise and on long descents, the lens dries up and sometimes tries (or it feels like) to move around my eyeballs. To help with that, I normally have to keep rewetting drops on me.

That's excellent news. Yeah, contacts are great most of the day, but as soon as I get any dry air in my eye, it's not comfortable at all. Even forced air sucks.
Rewetting drops help a ton, but I don't love having to use them every hour or so.
Man I miss being young and my body working right...

Best money I ever spent was lasik almost 15 yrs ago. Wore glasses from 3rd grade through boot camp, then got contacts and wore them for way too long. LASIK gave me 20/15 and I can’t recommend it enough if you got a good doc to do it.

I'm nearsighted so the only time I really wear contacts is when riding (the rest of the time, I'm wearing glasses). However, these new SporRX glasses may change things...

I might have to look into those! I like ROKAs a lot but their performance prescription lenses look weird haha
I mentioned them above but ROKAs are the best sunglasses I’ve ever owned. I have a pair of their wayfarer style sunglasses in prescription and they are amazing. My prescription isn’t super strong and is mostly for astigmatism but zero issues with distortion or anything like that. They are super light and have good silicon placement so they don’t move at all. When it’s warmer out I’ll use them on the bike but when it’s cooler I have to use their performance line so the cold wind doesn’t make my eyes water. The odd thing from the pictures I’ve seen on their performance prescription lenses is that they have lines and limited color options from what I can tell. I think depending on your insurance you can get reimbursed too. Or use FSA I believe.

Nice Ranger! I've been eyeing their new Rail29 or the Rascal to replace my Spur. Revel makes some ridiculously nice bikes.
