What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I got tired of gallon sized jugs of windshield washer fluid sitting around with 2 cups of fluid after filling my reservoir. I drilled a tiny hole in my reservoir near the top of the inside collar. Then I emptied that gallon jug with 2 cups into it Hard to see the hole in the close up pic, but its about right in the middle.

 

You will not regret, I still love them. From the day they were installed they feel great.

 

Added the Intake Flow Accelerator back in July.

 

Haha...yeah man, it's a mess around here.

 

And, just yesterday, from 8 am to 6:30 pm, installed the Old Man EMU 2" Medium lift kit. Bought from **********, I got the coils and front shocks preassembled, Driveshaft drop and diff drop kits, and the Leafs. Oh and I got the OME UCA from https://www.extremeterrain.com. Yes I had to bend the inside front fender, but only had to budge them by like 3/8" to get that enormous bolt out on each.

 

Looking good! Do the OME UCA’s allow for more caster? Just curious because I’m weighing my options on UCA’s before I get the CMC and go to 35’s. Your truck looks awesome!

 

Spc has the most adjustment from what ive seen and from talking I Toyota specialists

 

That grill looks great! I bought the same one from Empyre. I also bought the raptor lights from a member here who decided not to go that route. Could he have been influenced by TW? I'm not sure.

Either way, I like the raptor lights but if I add a skewp light, I might think it's overkill. lol

I bought some diode bulbs that came with plug n' play adapter to replace the yellowish looking OEM foglight bulbs (they look yellow compared to my recently added OEM LED Headlights).

Also got a pair of LED lights for the license plate in the back of the truck. They are noticeably brighter and adding the plastic covers to eliminate the brightness for rear camera was a good purchase.

Finally done building my rack for the Diamondback HD. Really like how it turned out; especially that I’m able to carry my bikes without any issues.

 

Hey thanks! They sure do, I've heard that I'll need a Front end alignment but I got to tell you it drives pretty good as is, steering wheel returns to center rather nicely.

 

That’s what I’ve heard. It was between the SPC’s and JBA’s. The JBA’s would leave me with money for the CMC but look like the tires might rub on them at full lock. Thanks man I appreciate the input!

 

does the little hole allow more fluid into the container as it expels the air out?

 

Nice I did the same. Question, how did you replace the license plate bulbs? I've had my bulbs for about a year but haven't figured out how to get the old bulb out

 

So, now I'm very interested in what the actual glue is that they are using. Have they tapped into the secret of barnacle glue?!

I assume they get up to highway speed every once in a while. Do the taller ones stay attached? @rgljr831 follow him around for a bit and lets us know. (jkg)

 

Yes thats the idea, I suspect that the inside collar throttles the fill capacity to prevent splash out of the cap vent, but I've decided otherwise.

 

I JUST did the cmc myself after getting 33s with a 16 by 8, zero offset wheel. The toyota expert near me actually just had someone in with the jba, and the guy is returning them because they couldnt get as good of an alignment as they did with mine. Spend once cry once!

 

are the skid plates that come on the trd offroad plastic?

 

I know the guy hit a parked car in reverse after backing out of a parking lot at a high rate of speed and whipping it around. Not one thing came off the vehicle, amazing! Unfortunately for him it was a DUI. I’ve seen it parked in the same spot for almost a year now; he should be getting his privileges reinstated soon. I’ll follow from a safe distance if I spot him around town.

 

Nice and thank you! My grille from Empyre seems pretty decent quality. One thing though, did you notice that the top OEM screw that secures the TSS sensor was too small for the hole in the Empyre grille? The hole was way too big on my and I couldn’t use the original screw..

 

That’s what I was thinking. The couple hundred extra would be money well spent. I just got some new wheels, 16x8 with a 4” backspace and a -12 offset. Should be enough room with the SPC’s. Thanks again!
