Was going to invite you to stop by as I'm just a couple miles south of Winchester, right off 522, but... wife found a seller willing to meet at Fair Oaks Mall. Guess where I'm going? :frusty: Reckon it'll be worth it if it's a decent car, though... :fingerscrossed:

Considering my issues with the battery the other day I decided to pick up a NOCO jump pack. Heard some good things about them and opted for the GB40 and it’ll sit in the top case just in case. Don’t want to be in a situation like that again.

    here it is.

Thinking of getting a used KTM 350 or keep it simple and more cost friendly and go with a new Honda 300L.

What are the best bike hitch carriers that people are using on their Tacomas?

Are you really airing up and down that often? Couldn’t the co2 little bottle kits work?

I’m not airing up and down at all. It’s a nice to have as I don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road with a flat. I have a plug kit in my tool roll and the air so I hopefully won’t have to deal with being stranded. Funny enough, it’s seen more use helping fellow riders on tue side of the road than it has me. I have the ARB plug kit I minimized and stuffed into my tool roll.
I had the compressor in a Pelican case and pulled it from there and installed it to the case instead of the pelican case bouncing around the top case. The pelican case was getting bounced around so much it’s got wear marks and was wearing down in areas.

I ran an Anderson connector to my battery and it sits under my seat.

That is super fancy as far as needing air goes. I saw your lone rider gear and now really thinking of ordering the Lonerider bag that you have across the back seat. I have the Vario top and side cases for my cruises but an extra bag would be nice for the long rides. I don't camp or anything but carrying extra clothes etc would be nice

I have the vario cases and…they don’t hold up if you happen to dump the bike. They snap off so easily and the parts to fix them are expensive. I carried heavy duty zip ties in one of them just in case.

Have you thought about unscrewing the clamps off your GB40's leads and wiring them into an anderson connector? Easy access to jump the bike if need be?

Do yourself a favor and test that thing a few times before storing it. Speaking from experience, I’m on my third Noco. The first one barely functions as a passable flashlight and never jumper a vehicle. The second lasted a couple years before not taking a charge. The third is holding on for now but it’s been less than a year.

I was thinking of doing that with the ARB compressor I have that nobody wants. Putting in a small Apache case with external couplings for air and power.

It’s plug in, not screwed in. I have a few Anderson connectors laying around I could mock up as leads so I could just plug it into the connector I already have.

Oh weird, my bad. On my other NOCO clamps they all screw onto the clamp with an eyelet, but those came with chargers not jumpers. Way less amperage I suppose, makes sense, hadn't looked that closely at the ones on my GB40. Which for the record hasn't let me down yet, I think I'm on 3 jumps and a few times using it to charge my phone in the last 18ish months.
