Seeking suggestions on water proof bedcover for my newly purchased Tacoma. I don't have much knowledge on covers so any information would be helpful. I assume most are waterproof? Thank you in advance

Bison Tonneau Covers! It is based in Canada, and a lot cheaper than most of the competition. The quality is good and easy to install.

To waterproof the bed cover, you would also have to remove the top plastic off the bed sides and silicon it.

If money isn't a problem, Diamondback has some really really nice ones. I'm saving for the Diamondback HD.

Go with bak flip. I have the mx4 Not 100% waterproof but they are solid. Can’t say enough good things about them. Plus they give TW members a discount!

Depends on what you're planning to use the truck for OP. If you need full access to the bed for taller items, pick something that can fold all the way back (soft cover). If you need it to be secure and "weatherproof", there are options but the cost will generally be higher. Be aware though that the gaps in the bed mean nothing will be totally immune from the elements.

I have a Diamondback SE, no regrets. It's expensive but the quality is there. Get compliments all the time.

I know some people do not like them, but I really was happy with the OEM one. I could remove it quickly if I wanted it off, and the snap connects hold it back if you flip it partially back. On the water coming in, I'd say it was 98% of the time dry. If I didn't have that I'd probably get one of the aluminum roll back type.

My vote is for Diamondback. Great customer service and thick durable seals all around. I used the provided silicone and now my cover is 100% waterproof

I just got my diamond back and I havnt done all the extra sealing yet but it’s pretty nice so far. Most of the water comes from the gaps at the front of the bed and near the tailgate which you can silicone or use some weather striping

If you have the cash you can't beat a diamondback. I have an HD and it's fantastic at even keeping water out of you take the time to setup. No issues in my useage of the bed either with diy HD runs ever with 4*8 sheets.

I called and asked for a Tacomaworld discount. They frequent this site every so often and they must realize that it drums up good business.
