Do you have a model with the steer assist because maybe it's needing adjustment? Have you adjusted the shoes in a while if not maybe ones high and ones low so it drags more on one side? Do both tires have equal PSI because I've had it where the one tire compresses more than the other so it gets better traction on the lower PSI tire. I'm assuming both tires are locked to the axle with a pin on either side which is the simplest reason why it's not working properly like ones locked and the others not. Also the pins generally have a little play so they wont be evenly engaged always if that makes any sense. So one will pull the whole thing and the other will still have slack and at certain times they will even up. It's hard to explain what I mean.

Still not a bad snow blower. I got mine about about 2 years ago. Reason why I chose Ariens is they have more steel parts than the other ones. I guess more chances of rusting but I like that it's more durable than plastic. Also another reason is I shovel for an old lady that has one that kinda still runs even though it's from the 70s or early 80s.
