Don't JBA have two different arms? OEM & +3 caster? Pretty sure they do so he prob just got the wrong ones.

Two weeks ago

 

I really like my White Knuckle sliders, you can get them multiple different ways (different angle, with full or partial diamond plates on the top if you want to use like a step). And fairly reasonably priced, or at least in line with other options, though I forget exactly what they ended up at. I mostly try to block out how much money I've spent on the truck.

 

I just installed RCI transmission skid yesterday and it covers both converters and protects the transmission from rocks. But if you’re not taking it off road too often then that does look like a pretty sure way to deter cat thieves.

 

Ditched my messy, leaking, corroded mess of an OEM wet battery. Still held voltage fine, just got sick looking at the f^cking mess it was spitting all over the place.

Installed a Die Hard Platinum AGM- gets great reviews, is reasonably priced, and is readily available at Advance Auto Parts, which is less than 1/2 mi from my house(O’Reilly & AutoZone are too) so if warranty issues arise, I don’t have far to go. Money isn’t really an issue here, but I’ve only ever seen Odyssey batts in stock at Batteries Plus; I wanted an AGM battery solution with much more common availability. Optima batts also seem to have fallen out of favor these days. Die Hard seemed to be the best combo of reliability & availability.

Also installed my SDHQ heavy duty battery terminals & SwitchPros mount while I was at it. If I’m honest, not exactly thrilled w/ the SDHQ SwitchPros mount. It’s of excellent quality but when bolted in place, the bottom edge of it rubs 1 of the 2 wiring harnesses near the fender well. Unsure why they orient it vertically when horizontally directly against the inner fender seems to look better, take up less space, and eliminate the need to re-orient the wiring harness(SDHQ has you cut a press-in zip tie and add two cable clamps to slightly reorient the aforementioned harness to clear the mount, but the mount still rubs on the harness). They may have some specific reason that I’m unaware of for orienting things that way but barring that, it seems to overlook a much easier mounting orientation that requires no change to the wiring harness tiedown point.

I’ll start wiring up my light bars later this week.

Did the diff breather relocate today. Simple mod, only took about 20 minutes including prep time.

Put the new breather in the taillight cavity….

Ran the tubing along the top of the frame up to the axle…..


Left plenty of slack for articulation. Think I will change the diff fluid since I obviously submerged the axle on my last outing…..

Just giving my 2 cents I had the same brand covers in black. Within a few weeks the sides started to fray badly I pulled them off hopefully you have better luck than me

Less than 5 minute mod today.
TRD PRO style shift knob on the budget price($35). No etched in TRD logo but I have a decal coming soon from TVD.
