I think the best thing that helped my "fabricating" was trying to keep things square AFTER it gets welded. It doesn't matter how good of a weld you put down if you aren't accounting for the way metal moves after its cooled down. That being said; angle iron ratchet straps, and a 48oz ball peen hammer have fixed countless things I've welded up. Utility trailer frames included lol

That was what my ENTIRE life looked like before we got back together

Every flat surface I owned got repurposed into either parts storage for all the projects or a workbench.

I got a lot better with it with the flatbed build, there's a lot to be said for getting everything tacked in place nice and square I think, then carefully going aruond and welding a little at a time.

This trailer was pretty bent up when I got it, I weighed it down a bit before I reinforced it to try to bring it back straight, but its not there yet. I might take another stab at it as I add railings.

    Convert to carbs!

I can teach you how to make fuel from hard plastics that'll run in old school engines. Just different jet sizes. Back when I was in the racing lawnmower circuit I ran all my rigs off fuel I brewed myself out of plastic

A kg of hard plastic makes about 1 liter of fuel

I have been fuc#$ing around with cars forever. Done the jeep thing, honda thing and mitsubishi thing and I have to say.....Toyota people are the most interesting. The 1st gen and older yota people will be working their 9-5 as electricians and all of a sudden be doing some crazy ass sas build in their garage w no skills at all and end up with some cool ass shit. Its so crazy and so cool! Its the most unique car clan I have ever seen. Very happy I don't own a jeep!

You're outta your kind. A Kubota V2403 is where it's at. 2.4L inline 4cyl with turbo... makes gobs of power in all sorts of power equipment and soooo much lighter than a 12v or a 4BT
