    Tried my hand at smoking a turkey for the first time today. Turned out delicious!

    After 4 hours on the Traeger with Signature blend pellets.

    It was! So much leftover though! My new medication is an appetite murderer. But since my bout with the vid and diabetes diagnosis, I have lost almost 60 lbs...and I am completely off insulin now too!

    The key to the recipe was a 2 day brine before cooking.

    Even though the 2/0 gauge worked just fine, it was an eyesore. Plus I meant to order 2 gauge. Anyways, I got a 2’ long chunk of 4 gauge and tucked it out of sight, cleaning up the look some more.

    This is also pretty silly but I strapped the concrete ballasts under the spare. It both secures the ballasts and also kicks the spare up to look cool and prerunner style and also show off that I’m too poor to afford a matching 5th wheel.
