When I redid my head gaskets I recall considering replacing them but I couldn't find any that fit properly. I had taken this one out IIRC and RTV sealed the edges. Guess that wasn't good enough cuz I drove home with coolant apparently spilling out of this one. I'm lucky the plug held on by some of the gasket.

How the hell am I supposed to approach this?

They make a rubber one with metal washers on each side and a threaded bolt through the middle. Tightening the bolt pulls the washers together squeezing the rubber which makes it swell out to fill the hole (in the block).

Find at most any auto parts store.

Alright, got one that needed to be modified a little to fit, but we got it in. Didn't feel like stress testing tonight, but fingers crossed it holds.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
You stopped before you cooked the engine??

If not you might be doing your head gaskets again.

Know those rubber plugs are an Emergency Fix you never know how long till it fails

    :fingerscrossed: Best of Luck!
