Yes. Do that. And then tell us the purpose and then we will help you make it work. Because nobody can understand the point. Tell you what. Why not just disconnect the wires from the pump and make a new circuit? Then you can put switches all over the place. You can wash the windshield from the back seat the bed maybe even put one on the roof just in case. I mean the stock switch won’t work anymore but who really wants to turn on the washer fluid pump on from the drivers seat any way.

Okay, basically I’m trying to make a gag on my friends by turning the switch on from a weird place. The gag itself is not really the most appropriate hence why I don’t want to tell a bunch of old folks the specifics of the bit. Here’s the pics: picture one is the switch. Picture 2 is a spliced wire with the pump, the yellow ground, and you can kind of see the relay in the top left.

Interpreting? I know some folks just look for hours on end, afraid to be trolled for asking, then never get a solution to the many questions they have. Which defeats the point of the forum.
Anyway: Battery, fuse, RED wire to pump. DO NOT splice into it.
WHITE wire needs to be cut, then routed through the relay (5 pin type) pins 30 & 87a.
    This keeps the circuit "normal".
When you send fused power (uses less than .5 of an amp) to relay pin 86 out to pin 85 to ground the coil energizes to pull the internal selection from 87a to 87.
    87 needs to be ground.
What the relay will do (opposed to what you have done already) is swap the ground required to activate the pump without activating the wipers.

I can do whatever I damn well please with my money and my truck. Besides, it costs like 15 bucks for a new pump? 5 for a junkyard reservoir? I’m messing with the damn windshield wiper fluid, I’m not cutting the axels in half and welding them back together lmao

Thank you so much. I totally agree with you. As a first time member of a truck/vehicle forum I had no idea how difficult it’d be to get an answer.

I figured that might be the issue I was having but I didn’t know for sure. I’ll try that out today and get back to you.

I mean I definitely agree with yall, point is I’m fully aware that 1. I’m inexperienced with electrical systems, I’ve only done a handful of projects like this before and 2. That this is a pretty random and weird. I definitely expect some dogging about it, no question about that, but DAMN we all start somewhere. I appreciate the concern but I’m prepared to take the risks. YOLO

You are a braver man than I sir. I'm old and cowardly, and I've reached the point in my life where I'm fortunate enough to have the money to pay someone who is a lot smarter than I am to do it for me :) Not to mention get under the truck a lot easier!

Ok dude honest response. Just make a new circuit for your purposes. All you need is some wire a switch and a relay. Don’t go hacking up your truck and causing issues for no reason. After your done you can remove the stuff plug it back in and it will be like nothing ever happened. Just my thoughts. Good luck with your project.

This is just as funny and requires no electrical experience

Should I tell him or just sit back and watch? It's pretty entertaining, after all.

Ahhhh fuck it. I'll just post links to discounted ECU's and circuitry once he needs it since his truck will be bricked.

I hope OP is filling the washer bottle with ATF and plumbing it to the rear tires for some sick burnouts

Well now that it’s done everything works perfect. Wipers and washers activate with the switch and inside the truck, no error codes or anything weird. Glad it worked out!

Now the very reason I haven’t said so yet is because it’s pretty juvenile, but essentially my taco can now… finish… yes it’s stupid and wacky but my friends think it’s hilarious so whatever
