The curt lights came with everything plug/play to hookup w/ the 4 pin. 3m adhesive on the lights and I used 1”x1” adhesive zip tie mounts to hold/secure the wire in place. I added split braided sheathing for protection (looks better imo than the corrugated split loom). The lights were only about 25$ and are slim, maybe slightly too slim for my liking but I didn’t want to buy the carrier light add on for another 100 so this works

Yes, I plan on that circle as well as the other side/tie down circle but didn’t have enough time- was originally expecting another 2 weeks before picking up the grom but found another ready now, slightly cheaper and 1hr closer.

I want to add reflective tape on the ramp side too because it does stick out slightly past (couple inches) the truck and I can see myself, my knee, being magnetized right into it.

I have one of these installed on almost all of my vehicles (not the Taco yet though), and they work great. I have had them for about three years now and they are awesome - EXCEPT - if you misplace the drain valve with the release in it. I managed to put all of mine (I use 5 of them) in a safe place in the shop I wouldn’t lose them……well about four hours later, I found that safe place. It is nice, especially on the lift, to just screw it in and let it drain straight into my oil drain container. No more pulling the oil drain plug super fast to not get burned by the oil and hoping you have your drain pan in the right place!

Yeah it is definitely MUCH louder under acceleration/passing. Ironically at highway speed when not on a grade, it’s pretty quiet. It is more for my son who will be taking over the truck when my new Power Wagon shows up………

Yea I was thinking that... I might paint mine blaze orange or put a long lanyard on it. There's probably a way to get a replacement...

Should you go with the single even if you don’t have a cai?

It replaces your oil drain bolt and allows for much easier oil changes... thats the theory anyway... i have yet to change mine...

I'm going to shop around this evening and post a multitude of options eventually.
I just want a metal plate for my gas tank and transfer case and engine area.

What stops the oil from draining out when you remove the cap?

You guys can clown on the tundra all you want but I'm telling you hybrid is the way to go ESPECIALLY FOR OVERLANDING AND OFFROADING. If they made a taco that was hybrid it would be second to none. I mean pros are true 4wd without the downsides and lockers or LSDs have. More juice means better range and more power hungry accessories. Hell people were using F150 hybrids to power houses during the texas outage. I mean I get wanting and preferring manual but it makes no sense to put manual in a hybrid.

It’s a spring loaded ball bearing in there that you need the drain cap screwed on to release it. Also with the stainless steel cap on there, even if it were to leak (cumulatively I have about 150,000 miles on all of mine combined and zero leaks) the cap has a gasket that it would stop it as well. The construction on these are top notch. I love it!
