Toyota quality has suffered lately. There have been a number of posts about misaligned body panels, misaligned dash trim (on my truck), scratches on surfaces, and poor fit and finish of new trucks (see video for one person's opinion of the new Tundra he just bought: https://youtu.be/F6IzYrh86Ew). Toyota even admits poor quality (https://www.reuters.com/business/au...flaws-supply-chain-pressures-bite-2021-12-07/)

From our experiences, Toyota doesn't seem to be willing to fix the above issues, stating that they are normal. I'm beginning to believe that indeed, poor quality is the new standard. Why worry about high quality when the public will buy whatever you produce because supply is so short. The interesting thing is that sales of Tacomas has never been greater in North American history! Toyota sold more Tacomas in 2021 than ever before, along with seven other models (https://pressroom.toyota.com/toyota-motor-north-america-reports-u-s-december-year-end-2021-sales/). How can sales be record-breaking, when supply is nonexistant? I think the problem is that demand is far higher than historical levels. People have a ton of expendable money, and will buy at whatever price and quality. We are our own worst enemy.

I agree the tundra has had many issues already. Maybe they did rush the new model. Hope thats not gonna be the case with the tacoma as well. For a 60k + truck it should be nearly flawless. Big part of why im buying a 22 tacoma instead of the 23. Even tho theyre great trucks they always gotta work out the kinks on new models
