I did as well. Makes boost a little slower but really not enough to notice or complain about in my opinion. My 87mm pulley should be here Tuesday so that should make up the difference :)

I didn't use the boost cut function so that made it a little more simple but it wasn't too bad. Electrical is always the best part, someone should do a sticky on basic 12v sources etc..

I purchased a little custom wiring harness from kmorgan3 to power my gauges.
It’s VERY COOL. You just plug it in between the bed light switch and it’s OEM plug. High quality stuff for a reasonable price. Much better than cutting into existing wiring.
    HIGHLY recommended.

Interested to hear if you feel a difference. Just put mine in and it felt exactly the same. Maybe it’s not something you can feel. Idk.

I'll be installing my 87mm pulley next weekend, but I don't expect too much. You can see in this post Magnuson Supercharger Yotawerx Tune Dyno Thread @Formidable only gained 14hp and 17ft/lb of torque.

Yep, it’s not a lot but 14hp is about a 5% increase. Considering it was an $8k purchase for ~30% increase, it seems like a few hundred bucks for a pulley is money well spent.

I keep waiting for something to come of all this that actually excites me or puts a smile on my face. Very hopeful for the tune though. pretty confident THAT might actually make a significant difference.

That's unfortunate that you're underwhelmed with the performance. I find the truck is peppy and fun to drive, and doesn't feel labored. And that's with full armor with heavy E load tires.

Do you have a boost guage? To see you're actually making boost? Not that you have a small leak somewhere.

I don't but a vac/boost and afr gauge have arrived on my radar. I trust the skill of the installer and theres only about 500 miles on it so far. I have a cap with some tools, sliders and a front skid, but no bumpers or significant weight. 265/75/16 C load Cooper discoverer LT's.
To put it in perspective, my wife has a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Same size engine. Way larger wheels and tires. Would walk away from my truck no problem from a standstill. Id catch her, but the way this truck ponders its place in the universe when I step on the gas is infuriating.

Hmm… The peak power and torque delta is one thing but the area under the curve increase is substantial and should be a noticeable difference. Fills in the gaping hole in power in the 3700-4700 RPM range to some degree. You should feel this on the butt dyno. Do you have a dyno shop nearby that can confirm? Or a draggy? If not I would pick one up. Cheap but very accurate multi-satellite performance logger. If no boost gauge or dyno, 0-60 pulls, 1/8, 1/4 mile runs will tell the story.

If throttle response is what you’re after the @mZiggy Yotawerx tune won’t disappoint. Literally turns the throttle response into a V8 down low.

Has anyone had to change their belt out yet? If you guys want maximum performance out of your serpentine system, go Gates RPM. It doesn't stretch, wears like iron, and ensures the most grip out of all other serpentine applications so there is less of a chance of belt slippage. I've had my 5 rib version for years and years and it is still going with no damage, even after my latest fiasco involving a snapping pulley rentention stud. My pulleys, not so much.

Oh hey look, apparently they make a belt sized just right for everyone running the OE pulley setup. ;)

    Gates RPM PN: K060891RPM

Go hit up your nearest Napa auto parts, they should have them.

Hey everyone I have been reading over this thread the last few days while installing the Magnuson supercharger on my wife’s truck. Today we fired it up and drove it around for the first time.

A few things I noticed and I’m not sure about.

When the truck in gear and stopped it idles at 1000 to 1100 rpm. This is higher than before, but I can’t find an obvious reason for it.

When coating the truck sits between 1000 and 1500 rpm. I honestly can’t remember if the truck did that before and I’m just noticing it more?

Other than that the truck is running really well. We use the truck for camping a lot so we have it pretty weighed down and now it’s like all that weight doesn’t even matter.

Idle issues aren't unheard of with the maggy tune and I think even with stock but I would check for a vacuum leak before anything else.
