Long Travel BS Thread

    Ive always been good with 600# on 2nd gens but on my own + 3.5 kits that use the whole 8" stoke and the tabs are as far outboard as possible and setup after a base alignment

    Can try some flutter valving under the main/big shims on comp to tune out the small chatter

    Then use thicker shims under and mess with the fulcrum height/width to use the rate plate to limit port flow on bigger hits, if your particular shock manufacturer uses larger diameter rate plates

    Correct. Once you get to the correct spring rate. It still stands that you can’t tune a stiff sting softer.

    the other variable that always is up to debate is driver preference and opinion. Someone may say, that it feels good.and another may say it’s too stiff or too soft. Also driving speed and terrain. Setting it up for 60 mph across the desert is wildly different that cruising rock trails at 15-20 mph.

    I imagine its a part from king only. If you want it quick I'd call and see if its in stock then just go to King in garbage grove and pick it up.

    Wonder if switching to JD Fab's relocates would eliminate your issues. Lot more surface area to weld to the frame, added benefit of having a bolt in location for the bed cage.
