In other news I have the full exhaust for the mr2 today. bow I just need the transmission to show up so I can rebuild it and I may actually be able to have this running by summer if all goes ok. I’ve decided to go full send on the free engine and see how long it lasts

My standards on this project are low but damn

 

Tacks, needs more tack welds so it doesn't go bending the other way.

Magnets help too, even better if you're clamping a square to it.

Yeah it’ll get tacked here in a bit. The front part of the trailer was splayed out from who knows what. A little sawzall and some gentle persuasion should get it straight(ish)

Ive had stuff tacked/clamped to a welding table so good an earthquake wouldnt budge it. Welded it all up, removed clamps and cut the tacks just so it can spring up and look like a banana. My truck bumper is made of 6" channel, probably has a 3/8" wall yet still has a bow in it from heat.

 

When does it get tons and 40s?

They heat up a lot quicker than any electric iron Ive seen. I havent heard many good things about the M12 soldering iron, Im curious to hear your thoughts.
