I just purchased my Taco w/JBL yesterday and recieved my first phone call today. Me and my wife both about jumped out of our skin. Is there a way to turn down the ringer volume? I cant seem to find anything in the manual about that, I did see that there is no adjustment for the voice level, but please tell me I can turn down the ringer volume. I usually am one to figure things out by trial and error, just haven't had a chance to play with the bluetooth yet.

Thanks, I was worried after reading that the voice level couldn't be changed, which seems strange to me. Voice level is ok though, ringer definately has to come down.

My manual says it can not be changed. Tried it today and it didn't seem to be changing, only did it for a second or two while I was driving and my wife called.

On a side note, does the radio volume affect anything when a call comes in? I was trying out the system (I was jamming) when the call came in, when I answered, there was a loud static for about 2 seconds and then it cleared up. While the static was there, couldn't hear my wife. Is this normal? never had this problem with our phones, deffinately seemed like the stereo had some sort of interference.

No, the radio volume knob has no effect on the bluetooth volume.

So when you were talking to your wife, you tried to adjust the volume with the steering wheel button and it did not change? Just want to make sure I understand exactly what is (or not) happening.

I know there is a way to "reset" the bluetooth by depressing a sequence of buttons when you turn on the radio.

If you can't get it to adjust, I'll review my manual because I have accessed the info before. I went through the same thing as you are now.

I don't have time right now, but I'll look into it in the next day or so.

Never experienced the static issue. Maybe a cell signal glitch

I didn't notice any change, but I didn't give it much of a chance after reading somewhere in the manual that it didn't change. Maybe I misunderstood it. But like I said, I didn't give it a chance as I already had it in my mind that it wouldn't. I'll see in due time.

    Ahhh. Found it.

Mike, read through this info from another website. The process detailed there helped me get my BT straightened out.
