    The Model 66 is worth more as a collectible , but a new in the box M65 could bring as much as $700-$750. The value listed in the last S&W Standard Catalog is $625, but that's from 4-1/2 years ago. These are nice shooters, I carried one as a Correctional Officer in the late 1970's. It's designed as a no-frills LE service revolver, fixed sights.
    I'd like to add an early M65 to my collection, one with the pinned barrel/recessed cylinder to match my other S&W magnums.

    Headlight wiring harness upgrade for 100W halogen bulbs. UltraGauge MX1.4. KO2 tires, Green Fan Clutch, X2 AGM Starter battery.
    I have a safe queen Colt .357 Magnum Carry in pristine new condition that's never been shot, and never dry fired. Then only fired round is from the Colt factory when it was tested.
