    Just replaced mine over the weekend. I lifted with some Toytec Coilovers around 2". Immediately got vibes. Here is the bearing I pulled out. Completely intact. Had tons of play. I ordered the Yukon bushing (instead of ECGS, although I think they are the same supplier).

    The hardest part for me was getting the axle out. The tool I bought, worked perfect. Instead of dealing with dripping gear oil, I opted to change all of it. New bushing went in pretty easy after a few hours in the freezer.

    Prybars/screwdrivers on the flat spots of the axle (diff side) and a bfh. I found it easier to rotate it around until it started moving.

    The rotating between pulls is what helped me out a lot. If you're just prying pulling in one spot it can be pretty difficult.

    Pretty much, once you see it move a little that's probably the sweet spot. I watched about every video on youtube prior to taking this on. I ended up not being able to locate a 35mm socket for the axle into the hub. One guy on youtube did it without pulling the axle out completely. I just followed his guide loosely. Basically popping the axle out of the diff, letting it swing down gaining access to the needle bearing. I was super worried about breaking the bearing, but mine came out in 1 piece.

    Does anyone have a list of all socket sizes required for this job? I feel like there are a couple large ones I need to go acquire.

    Also, what tool is everyone using to remove the cover on the hub?

    I have yet to find a shop that can replace the bushing here in NYC . If anyone knows of a shop in Connecticut,New Jersey ,Pennsylvania I’m willing to travel .

    Im swapping mine when I regear to Revolution 5.29s, along with TC spindel gussets and new pinion. Might as well get it done when my front end will be torn apart :cool:

    I few guys told me they waited to swap the bushing during the regear process much easier . I might Have to go the route .

    It won't hurt and is cheap insurance against failure.

    I did mine with only 2" of lift from OME, needle bearing was still in perfect shape,.but since I wheel a fair amount I figured it was worth it.
