Yes, it wasn't that bad to do. Took me 2 hrs to do complete, including clean up.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I saw one a few weeks ago at Home Depot. The guy walked to it as I was there and I talked to him. It's nice. His plan is to keep it for 1.5 - 2 years and get another one.

If you get a leaf and gas stays like this it'll take you 20 years:rofl:

I'm sure YOU can give better estimates.

I have 46k miles on the trok. Assuming some worst case scenarios, that's about 3.5k miles a year to and from work, I've had the truck 2 years....that's about 40k miles (or 20k/year) that are unrelated to work. o_O :D

The leaf will be used here and there, but mostly just for work and short trips around town, where running a big V6 not up to temp constantly will be bad for it. But even to the dog park, kayaking, etc the truck warms up.

Although no plans this year to drive to Texas, or California, or Michigan, that kind of puts a low usage year in front of me

Saw a nice Army Green TRD right around the corner from my house today. Vermont plates, some sort of rack, and one of those traction boards are all I remember off hand. No idea if it's a member or not, but it was a well built truck.

If i had the money to blow, I’d get my truck wrapped or painted in that old school “jade mica” green.

Saw a 3rd gen Tundra headed south on 3 today on my commute home. Proportions were kinda weird but there's definitely potential, I like em.

Had to drive over a 65 inch TV from the shop to the job I was at today, doesn't fit in the short bed straight so it was in diagonally and basically acted like a parachute especially with the wind. Had to drive on 495 with it so I set CC to 60 which would be closer to 65 with 33s I think, thought my wind sail would suck the money right out of my bank account the way gas is but I got 17 mpg unadjusted...tried it out on the drive home and got up to 19.2 unadjusted... with 33s, a skid and sliders. It's mind boggling how big the difference is from cruising at 1500 to 2k in these trucks cuz I usually get 14/15 unadjusted

I got a slew of text messages at 9 PM because every piece of network hardware in one of my buildings went offline. The UPS should power everything for 10 minutes or so, and the generator should start well before then. I figured maybe a pole went down and knocked out fiber. It was still out this morning, so I drove out there and found the one year old UPS failed:

    upload_2022-3-8_8-39-28.jpg

APC's asking what feel like pointless questions. "How long did the outage last? Did your loads drop?" I have no idea, no one was there, but funny you ask because had the UPS not failed I could look at the camera system and see exactly when power went out and came back.

I feel like this is my experience with 90% of the UPS' we install. Like what was is the point if you fail on first use?

They want me to go do a "brain dead" on it and report back. I told them that I'm not willing to trust the thing at this point even if it magically passes a self test again. They basically said to do it anyway.

I figure if it does pass I'll make a video of pulling the plug and hope it fails.

This is in my smallest elementary school and power outages tend to be rare and happen at night so no one really notices except for me as long as I get to it before people show up in the morning, but it's an hour drive from home so it's annoying. I have redundant power supplies going to different UPSs for all critical hardware in our main datacenter, but I can't justify that for a tiny remote elementary school.

This, I don't like using them because more often than not they make more problems than they solve on smaller systems

Anyone with a 3rd gen know if there is enough space behind the overhead console to put a rocker switch up there?
EDIT: If not, any way to change wiring from a rocker switch to a OE style switch?
