2020 Tacoma OEM LED Headlight Megathread

2nd one came in randomly with no signature required. All tabs intact.

 

Mine required a signature but the FedEx guy just knocked and left. He "signed" for me since the website states I signed for them...but I didn't.

 

Tried to have both of mine delivered to a FedEx store since I wouldn't be home to sign. They left one at the store and took one to the house. Nailed it!

 

FedEx and actually all of these delivery services are ridiculous about actually obtaining signatures. My wife’s and my iPhones were left at the door without obtaining a signature when it was clearly required. Luckily they weren’t stolen.

Still waiting on Wes Chap to send my headlamps.. hopefully they’ll ship out this week. Should have my DD SS3 Max yellow fogs delivered this week too so it’ll be nice to get both installed together!

 

Wes chapel gave me no problems. With anything and would def buy from them again

 

Mine arrived from Wes Chapel today. Nothing broken. Can’t ask for more than that.

 

fedex is notorious for signing for you. that's one of the reasons I got a doorbell cam. that way if something gets stolen I can show fedex that I in fact didn't sign for it

 

Just got done, saw a vid from a guy “just can’t sit still” on you tube, took about 1:30 hours and easy wire install with @daveeasa wiring harness 100% top notch work. I did blue tape the front head lights before install. So no scratches. Love how they look.

FINALLY got my shipping notification and tracking number from Wes Chap. Prolly won’t get to CA until sometime next week (FEDEX isn’t showing any info atm). Guess I’ll be doing this install next week. Got a nice lineup of goodies to install; powertrax pro xr, these lights, bed mat (which I’ll have to modify around the Retrax drain pipes and total chaos stiffeners), dd max fogs and dd ditch lights. Can’t wait!!

 

I just cut notches out for the retrax drain plugs in the Mat. Works fine and easy to pull matt out to clean good luck on all the work.

 

Does anyone here have any real world feedback of these headlights icing over in snowy/icy conditions? I read there is a potential it COULD happen, just trying to find out if anyone has actually has it happen to them.

 

Thanks for the advise, I was debating whether to drill holes and feed the pipes thru or simply notch the mat. I didn’t even think about pulling it out. But the notch makes sooo much more sense.

Got my headlights from Wes Chap in today. Of course FedEx signed for me; signed by ‘FDOOR’ on the tracking but they did knock at least and I work from home. There wasn’t any additional bubble wrap but the boxes were in excellent shape and the lights were undamaged. The bed mat looks like it left Orlando late and should be here later but oh well. It’s gonna be hard to work today when all of my lighting is waiting on install. I had to order wiring from Amazon to create my own harness for the ditch lights as I don’t want to use the diode dynamics harness for the following reasons: 1) it’s unnecessarily long, 2) I don’t want to use the backlight functionality, 3) I’m wiring to my spod so I don’t need the relay or switch. All in all, it’s gonna be a LONG week of evening wrenching. My wife isn’t going to be happy but I don’t have any mods planned after this week’s installs.

 

How long did it take you to get yours in from date your order was placed from Wes chapel? I’ve been sitting at a week so far and only just today updated to order received.

 

I ordered on 2/22/22 and received them to Northern California on 3/7/22. So almost 2 weeks. They didn’t even ship them until 3/3/22 though.

 

Is the W.C. Toyota deal still going? I just tried to order and the total for the LED Headlights came to $1,761???
