Saw a post about the alpharex headlights someone had an issue with and after this weekend I also have an issue with my alpharex headlights. I have a 2022 TRD OR with LED from the factory. And I installed my alpharex headlights from Tacomabeast on Saturday. Well the passenger headlight doesn’t have a low beam but everything else works, the drivers side doesn’t have a high beam but everything else works… so my question is that are “nightshade” led lights just the normal LED with black housing? Because honestly that’s all I want is a black or Smokey housing. Does anyone have pics of them? I googled it and tons of compare videos came up but to me they looked the same.

I believe the night shade are the same as the off road / limited / Sport. The PRO are more black but have the chrome TRD / PRO pieces.

You swapped OEM LED headlights for Alpharex? Making sure I read the correct

Yeah I swapped OEM LED for alpharex. Considering going back at this point with the issue. All the install videos were not correct for 2022 and honestly might be better off not paying $1500 for freaking headlights.

I believe the nightshade headlights are the same as yours with LED. I don't have any black in my headlight housing...only in the taillights that are the same as the Pro's.

Why you would swap high quality OEM headlights with very good performance for that cheap trash…mind bottling.

Thank you for the info. To me on pictures they look identical so I just wasn’t sure why they are called “nightshade” when there is no difference.

Just so you know...there are a lot of issues with the alpharex headlights on here and Tacomabeast is a piece of sh!t so return those things and don't give him another dime of your hard earned cash...just my opinion.

So you mean you have halogen headlights with LED eyebrows right?

Yeah I’m learning about these issues now it seems. Pretty sure I’m gonna return them. If something is advertised as plug n play and doesn’t work right and they don’t seem to be keen on responding to my messages I’m just gonna stick with OEM and maybe down the line someone will make a blacked out version of the OEM I can buy.

If all you're interested in doing is blacking out the OEM LED's, then @no vtec 4me is your man!

Literally just found his profile a minute before you posted this because I thought I remember seeing something about that, just couldn’t remember the user profile.

The nightshade LED headlights are the same as the TRD (non-Pro) LED headlights. Both have the chrome bezel around the reflector bucket/DRL.

Is this what you're talking about? (Nightshade)

These do have a dark look to them in the photo. OEM LEDs from SparksParts.

Here are my Pros... I don't see a difference beyond the chrome bezel.

Don't listen to everyone OP, keep the Alpharex. I'll give you $400 for your crappy OEM LED takeoffs

Looks like they all still have a chrome trim on the outside?
