You could also mow around the edge of the lawn and let the middle go to seed (if your neighborhood allows it)

I find this thread funny; shortly after I got my first Driver's License back in the early 1970s we had to deal with the oil embargo and gas prices more than quadrupled! Since then there have been any number of events which have caused fuel prices to spike, and I don't find this one any different; the prices will go up, geopolitical pressures will calm down, there will be a glut of oil sitting in reserve, and prices will come back down. No need to get our collective knickers in a twist over the current spike in prices.

Works amazing as long as your lawn is flat and not bumpy. Works pretty good if your lawn is bumpy. I dont get ugly ends of my grass caused by a normal mower hitting the grass to cut it, this cuts against 2 blades like a scissor. I can also cut my grass shorter for that golf course look. But I have been keeping the length higher since last year we had a drought.

That same thought had occurred to me. I've been trying to plan a trip to Yellowstone NP, but all of the campgrounds went to reservation only this year and it is just stunning how they are full the nanosecond a reservation window opens...but that's a whole separate issue. Gonna keep checking for cancellations. Rising prices are tough on all of us for many of the reasons mentioned, but my Taco is one of my few vices and I can spend some $$$ on gas. Bringing my own food, camping, and hiking/fishing makes trips relatively inexpensive.

We really are an oil-based economy in so many ways, from the food we eat grow and raise and transport to the plastics in everything to the vehicles we drive. No escaping it.

You're gonna have to explain how that thing works because most here won't have any idea what that even is.

My neighborhood isnt too strict on lawns, This year I might try to let the grass seed while I fight off the creeping charlie.

Right? and the S&P 500 is down 16% in the last year. Not sure how you can budget for a collapse of the USD.

    Those coconut crab delicious though.

It's been much worse in our recent history (1970's) so don't worry the sky isn't falling at least not here.

Yes, you are correct. My error. Even more reason for the USA to not raise prices. But it is affected by import oil prices from those countries.
