    Sorta Morning to everyone!
Hit the ground running as usual. Weather: looked outside, it's cloudy

Prices across the board jumped 20-40¢ the last two days, local station is $4.69 for 87 it just goes up from there. WTAF. We aren't *that* dependent on outside sources of crude and we had a 30% stockpile the same day Pooootin started his dick waving contest.

We are on par with your prices. Wondering what happened to the 'free market' we use to have...

yep!! Some of my current most favorite dishes are past failures with modifications

and the best failure? Burning. Some times, a good crisp, or caramelization is exactly what the dish needed, you just didn't know it

From what I have heard, years ago, the US oil companies put all thier money into refineries that refine heavy, sour oils.

Now, the reserves we have recently discovered in the US are light, sweet oil, so we don't have the refineries for it. And they won't retool.
So we are dependent on the world market and that has gone to shit because of the 'threat' of possible oil sanctions.

Hello all you oldies but goodies! Gas here in Michigan is as much as $4.60/gal depending where you go. We have two stations across from each other near me with a 35 cent difference in price! My son is grieving now because he has to fill up his big ol' Expedition today. It has a 6L diesel, 4" lift on 35s and a 44 gallon tank. It will cost him $180-$200 to fill at today's diesel prices. I was ticked off when I paid $70.70 for a tank of gas last Saturday. It's gone up another 40-60 cents since then.

I thought you said we can't complain about Cali, :D so we have to complain about where we live. But yeah, your prices are just outrageous. I saw on tv that up near SF it is close to $7/gallon.

I believe there are reasons this happened but the explanation would require a comment that is verboten here.
