That stinks. Is yours a 2010, still under the bumper to bumper warranty? If so, have the dealer take care of it.

Yes... it's just the cowl. Should the seal start to come off some more, don't remove it. You will get water in the cab. The seal around the window though is still good. Good luck. Take it in to the dealership for replacement if it's under warranty.

thanks. i peeked around. doesnt seem to be leaking water anywhere, and we had some crazy rain. i'll let a windshield guy look at it. my wife is taking it in to see if a dealer will warranty it. best to send the cute one, not me, the angry one..hahah..

here is a gratuitous sticker shot.

    The simple answer is “glue”.
Seriously it’s some type of super adhesive sealant. I’ve watched mine be replaced 2x.

That piece in the picture doesn’t keep water out of the cab. It just helps keep it out of the engine bay. And at that, it really isn’t “100%” water tight.

I know, but considering he had it worked on in 2011, that is what I was referencing.

I have always been told by my dad to avoid replacing the windshield at all costs.. I think he's scarred from a replacement on his '05 after a crack in the glass. After the replacement, water kept leaking in without anywhere to drain and got nasty as hell. Truck smelled like ass for months.

This is why I drive around with a pitted-to-hell windshield still :tinfoilhat:

He should get the message. He still posts on tw and if you check is profile he was last seen today
So he might answer you. I can second the windshield replacement thing though. Just had mine done and now it's wicked loud in the cab at highway speed. Sounds like wind rushing through. But it's water tight. I'm gonna have to reach back out to the windshield company.
