That isn't much of a requirement to expect from a vehicle. Where is the evidence that someone drove a Rivian every day for 90 days?

I would think there would be testimonials from owners, that would at least give hint to their daily driving of their Rivian.

Rivian can do that, they are the one selling a truck. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to showcase EVs as every day vehicles.

I’d bet $1000 on a rivian against anything FCA

Plenty of videos and reviews out there. Let us know what you find. You want to know about 90 day reviews, ask them.

I was throwing Rivian a bone, it's not like I said a 1st gen Tacoma. Some of this modern stuff might not make it 90 days.

A dedicated 220V PTO would be pretty cool.

I like the Rivian, but yeah similar to the Tesla, Prius, etc…too smug “look how I am saving the planet” for me. My buddy who doesn’t even own a car and bicycle commutes is more impressive to me. Meh save your money…I almost bought a F350 over my Tacoma, but I am cheap SOB…even considered a Maverick, but needed a touch more towing capacity for my moto trailer and envisioned it not holding up to all the wash board roads I run down like a Tacoma does.

Well sorta, I like things very low key and under the radar, bit anti-status quo if you will, those vehicles are high profile and have cult like following. Even though I have owned Toyotas for the last 30 years was hesitant getting a new Tacoma because they have become so popular, and cult like. Back in the 80s they would make fun of you for owning one where I am from, that certainly has changed. Now people make fun of you for owning a domestic. Not that I care, it is just funny to me.

Seriously considered a Ranger or Colorado instead since they are lower profile and pretty much ignored. Tacoma won out only by a slim margin, and a slightly better buy because of resale value.

Who builds EVs in the US?

I guess Ford builds the Mach-E in America, and the up coming lightning will be built here.

Tesla builds cars here, I don't know if they build their full line up that they sell in North America, here.

Both manufacturers are facing supply chain disruptions.

Then, there is Rivian. If Tesla and Ford are facing issues, I'm sure Rivian is having a harder time manufacturing trucks.

Where does a person buy an EV, if they want one Today?

When there are global supply issues impacting all automotive manufacturing, and the distribution of those vehicles overseas and abroad.

Dealerships have EVs sitting on their lots waiting to be bought?

Well used is out of the question, it's not like an EV can see hundreds of thousands of miles, and still be considered reliable.

What happens when the current supply of new EVs run out?

I have nothing to prove that I'm right. So I'll agree to disagree.

I still can't afford an EV, that are know to be expensive, and not everyone can. Plus the price of EVs will increase overtime. Look at Rivian they have raised their asking price before production has started on preorders. Once the trucks are built, I'd expect the price to rise even more.

The Rivian does not need to be shipped across the ocean, shipping costs would add even more to the final price of an EV.
