I have a difficult time getting this: repair wire terminal: 82998-47010

is it possible to substitute it with something else? I have a Ch4x4 switch

Looks like the CH4x4 already comes with a wired connector to the switch so (someone more knowledgeable can correct me here) I don't think you actually need the repair wires. You can just connect the wires in your dash and then just ground the ground.

Still needs the repair wire to mate into the M6 connector. Or do what the OP did before he found the correct part #, wedge a wire into the missing wire slot.

Only if you are NOT pre-wired correct? My understanding was pre-wired tacomas already had that wire and you just needed to tap in.

Thanks. So I got the fog lights to work. My only concern is burning the switch or truck down if I did something wrong. I heard you may need a 20a inline fuse. I didnt add it but Im not sure if you need one if its already prewired. I only added the relay. Can someone clear me on this? I heard people switch or truck got burn down because no fuse just not sure if i need a fuse if my truck is prewired. Thanks.

    No fuse needed if prewired.

@Yoda22 IF you did the Nitori mod and added the fog light relay in the fuse box you’re already fused with the existing wiring in the engine compartment with the 15A fog light fuse FOG FR in the engine fuse box. If you wired it another way I have no idea

Fog light fuse is already there for both pre-wired (M6 pin wiring to the stalk inside the truck) and non-prewired, you just have to add the relay if it’s not there. Same wiring either way is already there in the engine compartment (diagram I posted above). My SR utility was not prewired (no wire from M6 pin to lights stalk connector) I just had to add the repair wire to M6 pin 26 inside the truck and I used a separate fog light switch.

Below is the circuit regarding pre-wired or not (all wiring inside the truck):

i see. I ended up not needing the repair wire terminal. I did do as instructed and only added the relay to the box. The only difference is my tacoma didnt have the extra plug as mentioned from the op. The plug was used for the back bed light ( maybe its a 2022 model thing). Had to tap into some wire and pin 26 ( wasn’t sure at first but then read its only sending signal to ecu) so I did it. My original concerns was just if gonna burn the truck or switch if im missing something like an extra 20a inline fuse..

Correct, pin 26 is only a signal to the Main body ECU. No fuse needed there.

@caribe makaira if someone was prewired, could they just tap the stalk switch to make the connection between the blue and white/black wire? Sorry, don’t have the pin diagram here, so I can’t tell you which two numbers I am referring to, but they are the only two in that row. Isn’t that what the stalk with the fog switch does? So theoretically, they could buy one of @kmorgan3 and yours stalk taps and put a switch on it to make or break those two pins? Am I mistaken here? Just thinking out loud…

Hello all. I am a first-time Tacoma owner who is looking to install fog lights on a 2022 SR using the "Nitori Method". I plan to leave the steering wheel on (not ready to mess with the Airbag) and tap into the pin 26 wire and add a switch to the dash. Has anyone else tried and if so have any of the steps in the process changed? Thanks for any help you all can give!

I followed everything to the T. However the lights do not come on on. Any recommendation on what the issue could be
