Any way of getting that shit off the frame? I was overseas when my brother took it into Toyota for me and I agreed to it. I thought they were gonna oil it. Came back and it was rubber sealed.

Went along for a test drive last week in hybrid version of the Maverick.

    1. Interesting idea put into action.
    2. Too bad its a Ford
    3. Passenger seat sucked so much I didn't want to get into the drivers seat.

The good thing is that Toyota did it for you and if you need a new frame you should qualify down the road As the frame rots. It sounds stupid but that’s how it works with Toyota as far as I know. Just make sure you keep up the frame inspections at a Toyota dealership.

You could pack your frame with salt to speed up the process….I know someone who did that and They got a brand new frame.

Taking the box off would be the best method if you want to remove that stuff and clean things up Before painting.

I was thinking of trying to buy that little reg cab 2nd GEN But as a US vehicle I’m not sure how the frame warranty would work….My first GEN is also a US vehicle and thank God I got it with a good frame and have tried my best to keep it that way.

This will be my daily as soon as it’s consistently above 5c. 5 l/100km. If I get really sick of it, Toyota is coming out with a full ev by the end of this year.

Oh my god that Honda is genuinely gorgeous. I can't get anything in the sport bike/naked bike category due to my age so I'm on a dual sport for now. Far from my first bike tho. I've been riding since I was 5.

Nice bikes! nothing beats riding a bike in the summer getting 4.7L/100k while giving it the beans! Miss the bike it so dearly. I used to put 10k km a season riding rain or shine starting late March and ending mid November. Had heated jacket, heated gloves and heated grip which kept me somewhat warm down to -7.

Rode it to Cali and back a few years ago

I even fabricated a gun case rack for range visits haha.

Thanks! I really enjoy it. Restored it in my condo parking spot over winter a few years ago. Had it down to the frame, up on stands, using a BMW M2 trunk as a work bench at that time.
You’ve got a nice collection of toys yourself there lol
I had an RC51 and a beater GSXR600 prior to the XSR900 - wanted something a little bit more comfortable, but that still ripped, so I sold those and got the XSR. Glad I made that call. The XSR may be my favourite motorcycle I’ve had. Just puts a smile on my face each and every ride, and eats kms like nothing.

Excited for 5L/100km too!! 21L tank gives me plenty of range.

Added a small storage box, wind guards and OEM decals over winter.

Been carpooling to work for the last month, saving 200km/week.

Thanks! My first road legal bike, just got my M2 about 1.5 years ago. I wanted something KLR-like, but more unique. Found this in need of restoration for cheap and made it a winter project.
Kick start only gets old on 5degree mornings, but that’s part of the adventure I suppose.

    Back to trucks tho-

Snorkel gets installed Thursday (finally have the shop space). Excited to not be trashing air filters lol. Anyone got any precleaner recommendations?

There's only one I'm aware of that fits if you got the dobinson or ARB snorkel.

Same one I have. Believe it's sold under aev but it's actually made by a company called sy klone

    https://www.sy-klone.com/series9000.html

Issue is the 4" inlet. Most of the other ones on the market are 3"
