I wouldn't risk it. No way to tell if crush washer ends up square. Only the shoulder really is.

If I was pinning it, I definitely wouldnt want another doodad between the pinned part and shoulder.

I would pass on a crush washer, if you’re set on having that rail then I would file it down slightly to get the fit you want. File it down evenly and paint it and you’ll be the only one that knows it’s like, especially with the suppressor on.

Most importantly it's actually a machined product intended for that use so the faces should be perfectly parallel to prevent baffle strikes.

Thanks for the responses. The majority of what I researched said the same thing about the washer not crushing evenly. I will start clear of that. I plan to cerakote the upper, lower and handguard so shaving it down isn't a huge deal.

If that was mine I would cut down the handguard. Looks like you have plenty of meat on the front to do that. Just my .02

That's what I have on my BCM 14.5". Also have a 7" MCMR on another build with a front site post. Excellent rails. Lightweight, look good and feel great in hand.

Looks good to me. You say random was it a spare parts build or just on a whim?

    Both.

The optic, sights, CH, and AFG I had laying around with no home. I was shopping for a 870 mag tube extension when I saw Wilson Combat had the extension and a lower on clearance and well... I don't have the best impulse control.

With everything pictured I'm in it for less than $1k so I'm happy

Thinking about barrel swapping my AR in 7.62x39 for 300BO. One to keep the ammo for my AK and two, 300BO has more hunting ammo options also more reliable.

If you are keeping it 16”, I would go 6.5 grendel over 300 BLK for hunting applications

I always forget it's a thing, but is this a 26" NOT AN AOW build?
