    So is it true that the sending unit is under the cab on a double cab short bed? I'm just about to have to do this myself.

    yes. Its at the front of the tank, just poke your head under the truck and you can see pretty easy how far the tank sits under the cab on a DCSB.

    Ugh. All the YouTube vids I watched showed it just behind the cab. I guess they were extended cabs or regular cabs but they never specified in the video.
