Well, not really … only for a few days. My son needs to borrow my truck for a few days so he he gave me his 2018 Camry SE to get round in. I had half a tank of gas over the weekend so I filled my truck up and it took over $57! Driving my sons Camry I noticed it was averaging over 33 miles to the gallon. When I was talking to my son tonight I told him I was impressed with his car getting 33+ miles to the gallon. He said to me yeah that is pretty nice and your truck by the way is it averaging 19 miles to the gallon!

While I will be happy to get my truck back … with gas in the mid four dollars a gallon driving his Camry is nice swap for a few days. But I’ll keep the truck.

I rented a Ford Fusion hybrid once. 47 MPG on 3 fill ups. Much better than my truck lol. I was glad to go back to my truck, but that MPG though....

Our new Mazda 3 is only getting mid 20s, not that much better than the truck. :anonymous:

But it's a little riot of a car to drive, so... worth it.:burnrubber:

Gas in the mid fours? Out here in CA., that's becoming a distant memory. Camry is a great car, I'm real close to getting one. gas.jpg That's 5.99/6.19/6.29 per gallon today.

My wife drive a '19 Camry SE. They are definitely nice cars for the price, and the MPG is great considering they're a full size sedan. We always take her car on longer road trips. She gets almost 3x my MPG lol

I traded a 2007 Mini Cooper S for my Tacoma back in 2010. The cooper got around 30 mpg if I kept my foot off the pedal. That little car would haul ass, but I wanted another truck that was dependable. Toyota what else.

Yesterday I pumped at 5.99 this morning it was at 6.19 at chevron. Definitely love how the Camry handles and the MPG is 3x what I’m averaging now on the taco lmao

My Avalon gets ~20 around town. 30-33 highway. It’s nice for times like now. But damnit do I enjoy driving the trucks. The tundra musters a nice 11-19 depending on the drive. Tacos usually are 16-20.

Then the corolla. Man that thing does 38 easy on the highway

My wife's 2019 Prius gets 52 MPG. I'd much rather drive the truck but under the circumstances the Prius will probably get a lot more miles for a while.

I drive a ton of miles as I do food delivery as a side hustle. 1000 miles a month at $5/gallon would be $333 in a 15mpg vehicle like Tacoma, $142 in my 2022 Civic 35mpg.

$191 difference. My payment is close to $500 a month on the Civic, 5 year loan.

The numbers really add up when you think of tires, brakes, oil changes etc. All of them are much cheaper on the Civic or other high mpg car.

$2.00 or $5.00 I still use my 04 Legacy at 28mpg for daily driving.

Your happy driving a coffin on wheels that gets lousy gas mileage?
