Can you upload close up pics of rear clips? Curious how it mounts to the headliner.

The clips are essentially an 'S' shape, but the larger end slides over the headliner and the smaller end is where the net holds onto. The clips have a retention that presses on the headliner to really keep it snug, but still easy to remove if need be.

Ignore the fact that mine are bare metal, the production units are dipped in a black insulation material so they are soft and have no rough edges to catch or fray the netting. I'm still rocking prototypes so I can sell more kits and not take up stock for myself.

Does this product prevent pesky kids from tracking mud into your cab?

Yes, those are the static or minimum dimensions. It comfortably stretches to 43x18".

Do the clips bite into the headliner? Will they mar or fray it from bouncing around when there is weight in the net?

Just so it's in another reply on the thread, the front two corners of the net are attached to the ceiling handles. You will need to remove one side of the handles and reinstall it using a plastic removal tool/pick and needle nose plyers.

Originally that was a worry I had, hence the black dipped clips now (plus style points). In reality, I've been running the bare metal clips for almost 6 months now and I just went out to the truck, pulled them off, and all I could see what a little indentation from it holding the headliner. Barely noticeable, the indents in carpet from furniture are worse. I would post a picture but the light wasn't good enough right now.

We're now on Instagram! Give us a follow and send your pictures of the installed nets and I'll repost you with a credit tag!

I got mine a couple days ago (fast shipping when it is only 15 miles away). Anyway, I have no installed it yet, but I can say my initial impression of it is that is is very nicely made. Doesn’t feel cheap like some others I’ve looked at. The mounting hardware seems to be great quality (even though I don’t think I’ll be using it for my application). And I think I could fit all 7 Pomeranians in it….

Got mine in Friday and installed it this afternoon. Seems like an excellent product so far. Nice creativity @zDirtyDeedz. I really like the clips for the headliner, and the fact that it’s basically a net envelope instead of just a net to put things on top of. Those plastic covers for the handle got a little dinged up, but that’s on me (and Toyota) not you. Taking the wife and 3 dogs on a week-long camping trip in Kentucky in a week, so it’ll be a good time to test it out and report back.
