How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Just curious, how long ago did you start the process at Wesley Chapel Toyota? I just put a deposit down on a TRD Off-road 4x4 automatic on Saturday and would like to gauge how long it's taken others at this dealership.

Per my BIL who is a Engineer for Toyota, They do not batch anything together, each vehicle coming down the line is built in order. I guess one possibility would be if there was a supplier delay, They move the effected vehicles down the list until the parts arrive for assembly. I thought the same thing for the TRD PRO because there is so many things special to that truck but nope.

 

Really? whats wrong with it? I had the JBL system in my 05 and it was really nice. Dont know what to expect with the new truck I am waiting on but I cant imagine its junk.

 

I wanted premium and advanced, but when it was allocated/built, it only had tech. I wanted the MTM feature but not worth starting over. I don't know if it was the dealer screwing up my request or just taking what they could get. So yes, you can get TRD OR Premium package without advanced tech, as is mine.

 

I know it is wishful thinking, but has anyone seen their ETA be changed once it is entered in VSPEC? I've heard of people getting their trucks early/unexpected, but I don't think I've seen anyone say their ETA was updated.

 

I just got my shipment in, haven’t installed yet but pleased with the quality unwrapped FWIW

 

Good to know- probably too much to ask in this environment since dealer has told me I’ll need to get both together.

I would be happy to pay $5k for heated leather and a moonroof, + any benefits the jbl has from the stock audio. $7k maybe not

 

My ETA just got moved up a week from 03/18 - 23 to 03/10 - 15 Sweet!

 

Mine moved up a week but that was as per dealer

 

How often are you seeing that info change on the app? No updates since feb25

 

Mine has been moved up a week also, and the webpage now has no eta. Should be here sometime next week.

I don't have a deposit there. I put a deposit down at Clearwater toyota around 11/24 and have not heard a peep from them. I have followed up and have been told they don't know how long it'll be. I requested a lunar rock trd off road short bed 4wd with premium tech/LED. I hedged that deposit with another 1/7 at autonation in pinellas park. My sales guy there has been responsive, but they haven't had anything for me for allocations yet. I've been calling to other dealers every couple weeks around allocation time to ask if they have any available TRD offroads even if they aren't exactly what I want. When I called Wesley Chapel the guy Mark i have worked with presented the manual or a Trail Edition SR5 they are supposed to get in a couple of weeks. Almost pulled the trigger on that but decided to keep waiting. I've heard from other dealers like Brandon Toyota and Toyota of tampa bay on fletcher of people putting in requests in december and taking delivery here recently. Upsets me a little that mine is taking so long and others are getting them sooner, but it is what it is. Florida doesn't seem to be getting many 4wd tacomas, so i'd expect 3-4 months.... I'm at 3.5 and 2 months in my wait and I don't see it happening anytime soon unfortunately.
