Three years ago was apparently a Saturday and three "newbies" tagged along on our (my) first flagpole run. I think all these trucks have changed a bit.

Hey all. Is there anyone here able to replace an AC discharge line and do a vac/fill for my 2014? I work m-f and most shops in Lynchburg don't open on weekends.

Which line is it? If it's one of the ones up front, you might be able to do it yourself. There's a Chrisfix video on recharging the A/C system using manifold gauges. I followed it to a T when I replaced my condenser and it was much easier than I anticipated

It's the discharge hose that comes off the condensor. I live in a townhouse and have no space to work on my truck. Plus, I hate dealing with the ac.

Gotcha, makes sense. One tip I have, even if you don't work on it yourself, is to give the bolts on the lines into the condenser a quick torch before removing. Don't have to get them super hot, but the steel bolts can galvanically corrode into the aluminum condenser. I broke both bolts off in the condenser, but torched them for a second, and they came right out with vice grips. Hopefully you don't have that trouble, but a little torch action could save some extra headache

Thank you. I ordered the hose. Do I need to worry about buying new washers, o-rings or gaskets?

I purchased a Toyota specific A/C oring kit from rockauto, but the orings that came out looked to be in healthy condition if you need to reuse in a pinch. I also bought new hardware to replace everything since I broke some, should be m6x1.0

Thanks. I'm leaning towards having the dealer replace the hose and perform the service. I just want to have the hose handy so I don't need to wait for them to order it.

I think that's me behind you and it was my first time with the group. My truck had all of 200 miles on the odometer, had just picked it up the week before.

You are behind me sad Patrick was behind you. I had forgotten your 2000 miles. I think I was pushing 2k already.
