Unfortunately my attempts to get these for $6 including shipping have been outbid so I'll hang on to the two I have coming (repaint one to Barcelona Red with grey interior like my AC and keep the other one stock for my tow young grandkids when they're a bit older). I appreciate your interest.

This morning, I stopped at our family owned chain of grocery stores and found the metal containers I've been looking for! The checker said they'd recently arrived, and they been out of Altoids for quite awhile, so I picked up two and explained that I'll use them in the Tacoma engine compartment for mouse repellent. Soak a cotton ball in mint oil, put it in a perforated container, secured near the location of potential mouse habitat. The Car Talk guys were told this years ago by a pest control specialist. We know it's effective in the feed storage room, so if the vapors pass through the cabin air filter, the smell of mint is likely not a bad thing for us.

Alright I went and did that hunting thing with my coworker who is an avid collector of hot wheels. He said I would definitely find some so I figured I'd grab them all and pass them on here.

I have 15 for sale @ 4$ each plus the cost of shipping. To cover the cost of going around grabbing them over the weekend and shipping them out etc. If you don't like the price I'm sorry but I went through 9 different stores this weekend with my buddy who collects hot wheels and it sucked not doing that again

Now I need to find small boxes to ship these in... Also I'm leaving next week for a business trip for two weeks so I will stop selling after Thursday.

This morning I found peppermint oil in the health food section at Fred Meyer, so I have the ingredients for the mouse/pest repellent, after I empty an Altoids container... First appointment for me and the '09 Tacoma's annual dealer service at 5 p.m. (after walking in the service dept. this morning) Winter/summer tire swap season has begun!

 

I found one at oryllies auto parts, scooped it right up

 

Where abouts in southern NH? I stopped at a Walmart on my way to work for some other things and of course check out the toy section and they didn’t have any hot wheels!

Walmart, target, some markets and rinse and repeat. It also helped that we went first thing in the am. There were other guys there looking for rare ones meanwhile I'm over there Hocking all the Tacoma's I could find into the cart

 

We went to ones around leominster area, I basically followed him around for 5 hours.

 

5 hours! I’m a collector and I don’t run around that much. Stop at the stores here and there to look but the most time I spend would be going to the shows.

 

My coworker has an amazing collection with display cases and such. Even moreso he doesn't resell anything he buys he just sits on it. He gave me a really nice Datsun a few years back as a gift.

 

Alright new issue - boxes - trying to keep shipping prices down to first class usps (under 13oz) which I think I can do but I need to find boxes first. I'll check the shipping departments recycling pile tomorrow. @williams63 if you'd like to pick up in person we can meet somewhere near Hooksett, NH.

Just got mine from ebay today! Took it out rock crawling. Its so cool but needs some suspension travel$4 shipped! Unfortunately it was a one time sale.
