I too was briefly getting cold feet, but I think I'm getting over it. I still have a 2000 Camry with 160,000 miles that was in pristine shape till it got hit by a drunk woman. It runs like new, but is butt ugly now. The Taco will probably out-live me as I'm 68, and I only live 3 miles from work.:D

LOL, my 2006 TL still uses a key, my wife's last two cars had push-button start, I prefer the key. :p

I am not so sure on that. I have 2 family members that work for toyota, engineering and management, and neither really have any answers when I ask. I'm not sure the dealers have much information either.

I know some people would love to be in my situation with how long everyone is waiting for a new Tacoma. I have been looking for awhile but was always hesitant to place an order and wait. I wanted a DCSB sport premium 6MT. It’s the only way in Canada to get a 6MT unless you can get a PRO. I was dealing with a dealer on one but I did not want to pay a dealer fee on top of full msrp. Call me old but to me it’s an extra money grab. They wouldn’t do the deal and I leave disappointed. On my way home I stop at a different dealer nothing for 6 months. But they have a PRO auto coming in 3 weeks. Gave me $500 more then I could get anywhere for my trade and $1500 off msrp and no dealer fees. I sign the deal and leave a deposit. It’s more then I need or want to spend but I get a PRO.

A few days later a third dealer calls me and says do you still want a 6MT. Got one coming in 2 weeks. I tell them I got a PRO. Their response was how? We will give you 2k over msrp to trade it in on the 6MT. Crazy times. I’m not sure what to do. I feel bad for asking considering trucks are hard to get right now and I lucked out with a PRO and now being offered more then what I’m going to pay on a truck I was looking for. But if I keep the PRO I may not want to give it up.

Exactly, I can't imagine buying a brand new Toyota if it was something I thought I would sell in the future. I don't like change though. I'll keep this one until I die and pass it on to my great grand children. No, that's actually a joke, unfortunately, nobody will know what a Manual Transmission is by that time. Shit, I am about to cry thinking about that.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I wasnt trying to get a PRO because I thought it was an impossible. I was waiting for a fully loaded O/R with a M/T in Lunar Rock. Apparently its easier to get a PRO.

Same here, I cant stand push button start, when I was 18 and people were putting them is their fake ass tuner cars I thought they were cool. I guess I grew out of that phase.

I agree, I can't imagine being happing with am automatic If I wanted a manual. Not dogging on autos but for me it would be a huge settle that I would regret. I bet he could easily get 5k over msrp. I know dealers in this area that are charging 10k over for all pro models. I am having to pay 5 over for mine.

I think I may do that. Call me what you want but I think I’d still take the PRO and trade it in for 2k more. I know it’s tough getting trucks but to save 2k buy driving a PRO across town seems like easy money.

Deposit placed on a Lunar DCSB Offroad 1-29. 2-7 I was told it will be built on 2-28. Got a text yesterday saying it would be here tomorrow or Friday. I'm fired up because I was originally told end of March.
