I get what your saying but I can’t afford to replace the steering knuckle on both sides. Besides, the passenger side is all fine.

Mechanic is on the way to get the new part on!

    Fixed!
I got the new steering knuckle in. Took it for a test drive. While driving, the steering wheel is crooked, the wheel is turned about 35* to the right while driving straight.
Also, the slip indicator light is stuck on.
It also pulls me to the right. What now?

Try going to alignment shop. They’ll be able to get it straight or tell you if you need moar parts.

Call a few body shops and ask who they use, if the shop regularly works on collision damaged vehicles they might have a better eye for spotting damage.

A real good alignment is about 20% equipment and 80% the man operating it.

Very good point, you want to find someone that is familiar with collision damaged vehicles. The dude over at Firestone won't have a clue

    Hey all, quick update.
After the install of the steering knuckle I now have no rubbing. Comparing the two knuckles clearly showed the original one was very bent.

Truck still drives fine after install, with a slight pull to the right, steering wheel crooked and stability control signal on.

drove it 50 miles yesterday and seemed okay. Although I was a bit sketch.
When I reached my destination I checked all fluids, none seemed leaking. Power steering included.

I’m taking it to Toyota to hopefully fix all this on Tuesday. From what I read on here seems like it is all fixable with some adjustments from the dealer..
Of course my local shops alignment machine is down.. so Toyota here I come..

Thank you for all the help!!

The judgement here is disappointing. I often wonder what some people are trying to accomplish in doing so.

OP, glad you got the truck running! What did insurance say?

Yeah, and never mess with a Hawaii born and raised Pitbull.

    Thank you!
Insurance was going to cover it but every shop in Hilo was either booked for two months or didn’t deal with insurance. So they pretty much left me hanging. Luckily I found the steering knuckle in Hilo. Last one in stock. Called my mechanic friend and got it on. Beyond stoked.

Lol @ the Belgium dog dude getting angry. Idiot.

Op, good on you for fixing your own screw up and learning new things. My mom backed my dads brand new super duty into a pole due to me being a little shit as a child. It’s so much more common than you think.

Someone without kids should never judge someone with kids. Otherwise you just end up looking like a donkey.

Ignore the haole mahu. Reply to him gives the douche wagon power.
Stay waaaaay far away from Lex Brodies. Fuckers tried to send me to recon for my stock Ford F250SD. They're idiots.
Give aloha receive aloha and ignore the choads.
Obviously a lot of people have never lived in Hawaii. If they did they realize the infrastructure there is under designed and a Tacoma is basically a full-size truck. Place is set up for Honda civics and Miatas(wahine rides). Hell I don't know how many things I rolled over when I lived there.
I had an S 10 island truck beater that I used to surf out of every day. That thing was indestructible. Shipped it back home here to California and it died on the 405 after a week.
I should've left it there were it belonged.
    Aloha

I have committed this sin before I was a parent. Never again. We parents raising the next generation. We are all learning.
Some parents have problems and suck. It’s society’s duty to help the weary. Not judge them. All in all this guy was an dick for acting like he knows what it’s like driving with a two year old lol
