Got my hammer hangers and diy cross tube kit a month or so ago, still waiting on my rxt leafs but was hoping to fab up the cross tube ahead of time. I see on the site to start at 33.5” and trim down, but was wondering if anyone had a good guesstimate handy?

Ps- the packaging was unreal, and these things are pure beefcake :muscleflexing:

HC crossbar arrived today (thank you Eric) I am heading to Colorado next week to have Alcan install my new custom leaf packs along with the hammer hangers, crossbar and stage 4/5 (spacer) Archive Garage U bolt flip kit.

Does the HC crossbar still require removal of the spare tire?

Yep, mounts in the same spot as the spare.

    Yes

We make our HC cross tube 33.6" long. Subtract two 1/4" plates

It honestly won’t save too much time getting it done ahead of time and I’ll have a much larger room for error. Just wait until the hammer hangers are installed and you can bolt the DIY plates to them. Once that’s done it takes all of 15 minutes to measure, cut the tube, tack in place on the truck and pull and weld.

Yea my only issue is I don’t know how to weld lol. My buddy that was gonna help just jacked up his knee and had surgery so I was trying to have him fab it at work before hand and not under the truck. But you’re right, I’m sure it really won’t save that much time in the end

This is NOT an attack, this is DEFENDING Archive work getting used by others. You can't make this stuff up.

A little off topic, but I was wondering if @ARCHIVE has had a chance to get into production on the MD leaf springs? All my extra weight is starting to have an effect on my stock+AAL setup so I'm in the market for a ~500# leaf setup

I mean if you want to get all technical, BAMF released theirs 5 months before Archive in 2017 so those would be the originals. No matter who makes the hangers, the improvements are going to be the same so I don’t see how you can describe the expectations of the product without using the nomenclature we’ve all come to agree on. I’m a fan of Archive products and use them too but a heavy duty shackle hanger is a heavy duty shackle hanger and there is no shortage of people who want to spend money on them.

I don't think the issue lies with the fact that they're making a hanger replacement, competition is good for the market. It's moreso their choice of words to describe it. Looking at Jerry's product description it sounds nothing similar to Eric's. DRT could have come up with their own description too but didn't.

Wish you didn't bring that up, besides being untrue. Now I am compelled to address with facts: I had my first set of Hammer hangers on my truck in Sept 2017 at Overland expo east, and some of BAMF's friends sent info or pictures to him, 'hey you better get working on yours'.

Also we posted on ours on Instagram couple weeks after the show, an hour later they posted.
I did wait 1 month to take orders

Sorry if that’s a sore subject. Just looked at dates the threads were started.

Out of curiosity I peeked at Jerry's thread and saw it was created in June and was like "what is Eric talking about?" but scrolled down and saw that orders weren't actually taken until October and delivery started in November. It sounds like they were both released pretty simultaneously.
