    Good morning Texans,

    I'm looking for some overland camping recommendation for March when I come down from Baltimore to visit my best friend before he ships out for marine corps boot camp. I can't do any serious rock breaking and really looking for something simple as my friends will be renting a 4x4 for the trip. So far I've seen 2 good options in Padre island or the hill country trail, but I'm open to suggestions or information from locals. Thank you in advance

    Both of those are great. Hidden Falls adventure park has camping and wheeling along with a gun range. Trails there are doable in stock vehicles. Padre Island National Sea Shore is great, as well as South Padre, take your fishing poles. Hill Country Loop is fun with great scenery and good food.

    You should reserve a camp site somewhere. Oxford ranch is popular. Another good one is enchanted rock. There's various other camp grounds as well, just have to search.
