Got a little more than I bargained for on a “quick ride” after work on my trails. Had to winch out of two spots. Dual locked and skinny pedal no worky. Granted it’s been raining two straight days…

    2 things

1 it's awesome seeing that thing done and you enjoying the heck out of it and working all the little kinks out.

2 Having walked your trails, seen what the lay of the land is, and condition of them that was a dumb decision after 2 days of rain you were asking for some winch time :rofl:All that leaf litter on the ground and the very untraveled soft dirt from years of not being touched and then 2 days straight of rain in the SE yep I'd say that was a given the situation you got in.

Ok now a 3rd need to get some old culverts and stuff thrown into those gulleys and make some killer hills.

Haha yeah those leaves got me. I was fine on the main trail, but there are some hill climbs with ditches on the backside I couldn’t bump over and I couldn’t back down it without sliding into trees haha good pulls to test out the new front bumper with though

Hear me out, I think this would be badass. Get some like 1/2 solid rod, some plate, and dzus fasteners. Then get just your bedsides trim them to length of the new bed and dove tail them inwards to the rear and make some mounts for them. I think it would look bad ass.

What’re the odds that I just learned what a dzus fastener was only 5 hours ago and now I see it mentioned. It’s a pretty sweet design and I like the idea of using them for some stock dovetailed bedsides.

I’ve been studying ways to make it look a little less stumpy. It’s really just bad from a side angle where you can’t see the bed. I originally wanted to extend the tubes over the tires and wrap around the spare. I’ll probably do that this weekend. I think it’ll even things out.

My favorite looking tube bed is @45acp access cab. I’m trying to copy it as best will fit a double cab. I think that’s my favorite truck on here.

I wasn't thinking the stumpy look but more of the bobbed like crazy crawler dovetail look. I've always like that style probably because it's so prolific around here.

Solid progress the last 3 days. Got all the link mounts tacked in and cycled. Going to get the sway bar in place, bump stops, shocks, and limit straps today. Or at least that’s my ambitious goal.

Very cool. Looks like johnny joints? That looks like a clean way to keep things sleeper and functional all around. What size coilovers?

Picked up a trailer today. Anxious to see how it rides with the truck on it.

Nice, looks damn near identical to mine minus the dovetail. I know it’s not the norm but I put a WDH on mine and it pulls super well. Keeps the tundra level and reduces any sway. Pulled like a dream going 70 mph, super stable.
