God....seeing all these beautiful trucks is killing me. I placed an order for a Lunar Rock back in Jan. Got a text from the dealer yesterday and I was excited....for a whole second when it was just them asking if I was willing to accept a red one with all the same options rather than Lunar Rock. I said "absolutely not". You guy's that have them already, I'm definitely jealous.

I feel your pain brother, placed my deposit Jan 1st and still have no eta. Seeing everyone else get theirs kills me too but also gets me pumped. I this will be my first tacoma and I don't think I've been this pumped about a vehicle since my e36 m3 over 10 years ago lol

Hold on guys, you will be satisfied when it eventually comes in. I waited a bit, and absolutely love my first Tacoma and would not want it if it was not LR. Saw a 2021 LR Pro when waiting in parking lot when wife was shopping, ONLY reason I even ever thought of purchasing Tacoma.

@LunarRockV Look at my screen name, had an E36, and now have an F80.

For sure, my must haves are lunar rock or army green and trail edition or off road 6 speed, nothing else. I bought out my gmc sierra and have no payments so I'll wait as long as I have to and won't settle for something else.

And that's awesome, I saw the name in my alerts tab and wondered if it was a coincidence lol. I've owned a 95 black/black vaders m3, 96 black/tan vaders m3 and a 99 318is in calypso red with black vaders. Stripped it to the frame and swapped everything from a 99 m3 donor with a Frankenstein'd together e36/e46 engine. Cams, s50 manifold, 3.5" maf, injectors, cold air, Remus exhaust and a tune. That was my all time favorite car and was a blast to drive.

I love the f80's too, what color did you go with?

Bought a barely used Silver 98 M3/4 in late 2000. Started tracking it, went down the slippery slope and gutted it and started racing it. Had kids, and it turned into a dust collection device so I sold it. Wife must have been drinking one night and gave me the go ahead to buy another one a few years ago. Me being the creature of habit bought another Silver M3 sedan. Here's the only picture I can find on this computer, from dealer before I bought it.

Nice work holding out. I waited 7 months for mine to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted. Once it arrives you'll forget how long it took.

I see you love vanos issues and Rod bearings that wear out prematurely! I love BMWs but those M division racing motors are ticking time bombs. Don’t get me started on the old M5/6 V10s

Knock on wood, but I have never had any major issues with either of my M cars. With that said current one is a garage queen, last one got the heck driven out of it at the track for many years.

Sorry for the OT, back to the previously schedule conversation on how awesome LR Tacomas are!!

Congrats bro! She’s a beauty. Looking forward to seeing those wheels after you apply the blackout wheel vinyl.

    Nice truck ...

    1) The black overlays look like overlays. I just removed the emblems on mine.
    2) I have the OEM black tailgate inserts. They look great.
    4) I have a BakFlip G2. I got it on sale at Amazon for ~720. Not sure when it will go back on sale though.
    5) I tinted my front 2 windows. LLUMAR ATC 30 @ Alta Mere in Plano TX. $80.00 USD.

Here's a link to some pics of the Bakflip G2. Let’s see dem Silver Tacos!!! | Page 298 | Tacoma World

i also have overlays, but I’ve always just plasti dipped my emblems and it’s lasted for as long as I kept the vehicles, 5 years or more. I’ll see how the overlays look but can always pull them off.

So did tinting the front two windows make it equal to the rear two? At 30% tint?

Badass! I'm jealous haha. As far as the older m3s go, I always had coupes, but if I were to buy a newer one it would be a sedan 100%. The body lines on the 4 door are so much nicer

I can't speak to the newer ones but the mid to late 90's m3s were tanks, only thing other than oil that I ever had to replace over 130k miles was a $60 valve cover gasket. Plus with a 10mm socket and a Phillips head screwdriver you can take the entire car apart so it's super easy to work on
