What have you done....

to safe-guard your catalytic converter? Looking for ideas for either the v6 or I4. My Tacoma is the I4 but our Highlander is the V6.

Live in the middle of nowhere, like me...

 

I have a dog, a gun and live away from others in a house in a state with the Castle law.

I have the I4 and I installed a transmission skid plate. It doesn’t cover the entire catalytic converter but it makes it more difficult to cut off. I was told a few days ago that where I parked, there were two other catalytic convertors stolen and someone told me that they saw someone looking under my truck and leave.

 

I park in the garage at night.

-Wifi garage door opener to tell me if the door gets opened in the middle of the night
-Firearm in night stand
-More firearms accessible enroute to garage
-Shotty near garage door from the house
-House located in the Gunshine State with a phenomenal governor.

Cats are safe on the cars at home. At work I park in a secured lot on a commercial airport, there are a lot easier targets as they’d be pretty ballsy to try that I’d think.
