It's nice being in that position. My 2013 gets about the same miles per tank. I have a 2016 Civic that gets over 40 mpg so that's the daily driver. We also have a 2017 Pilot that gets about 25 mpg so we use that for road trips. The truck is my Home Depot and camping vehicle.

I’d love to keep the truck, just for fishing and occasional off-road or hauling needs, but I can’t justify a third vehicle when it’s only me half the time and I work from home… The Audi is my “fun” vehicle now so whatever I get to replace the truck will have to serve as a multipurpose vehicle. That’s why I don’t want to get a car and I’d rather have an SUV or CUV of some sorts. Something roomy and higher off the ground that can be driven off road if needed, but mostly used as a kid hauler, grocery getter and occasional road warrior.

I found out we have some kind of VIP program through my work with Subaru (they supply our company cars) but I really struggle with the “wagon” look of most of their SUVs. I do like the AWD system and their gas mileage quotes aren’t bad (almost twice what the truck gets). It’s also nice that I can order one at a set price and they’re quoting 10-12 weeks for delivery. So we’ll see if I decide to go that route or not.

    Do seat covers count?
No sir. Ended up just buying tires for the stockers.

Any of you local 3rd gen guys have any issues with the secondary air pump?

Edit: Scratch that. After some research 3rd gens don't have the secondary air pumps.

I got a 2018 Subaru Outback for my daughter and it’s pretty awesome. My work provides me a surprisingly impressive Ford Escape, it’s AWD and very fuel efficient but in Sport Mode will haul butt. It’s a three cylinder. I’d like to drive the Titanium 4 cylinder. My only complaint about the Escape, the seat heater on high will melt the hair off your ass through jeans.

No thanks. Just reminiscing when smiles per gallon and wheeling with internet strangers were the topic of discussion. Carry on.

So let's get back to it! Haha...I'm heading to Red River Gorge in a couple weeks for my birthday (March 25-27th) along with a Jeep buddy. We'll be wheeling parts of the DBBB and maybe Hollerwood Offroad Park. It would be fun to get a few more Tacomas to join up if anyone is interested. We can make more firm plans if anyone else wants to partake. I'll likely also post in the KY forum too.

I may be free that weekend. Wouldn't mind at all to get out at the gorge for the first time of the year. Keep me posted.

And I may also be interested in wheeling the gorge. Let's see if I can get approved for a loan for a tank of gas...

I'm always interested but I work weekends and it's too late to request off those dates. Thanks though. Enjoy the DBBB. Tell Pumpkin Hollow Road to blow me!
