I have a brand new Freud blade in mine.. so I checked a few other blades with the same sort of results and two different digital angle finders etc.. I've just resigned myself I need a new modern table saw.

If you make a cut in say a 1x4 then take those two pieces and stand them on edge and put them together- you can see how off the cuts are.

I'm not smart enough to know what the real fix is.

Maybe the table is slightly out? Bows down to one side?

That means the table needs adjusted if I understand you correctly.

For me.. using a magnetic digital angle finder stuck to the blade, it takes the table imperfections out of the equation.

i know you can flip one board 180° and it should mate properly.

its more of a square issue like kilo charlie says above. But you prob wont notice it on a table leg but when making cutting boards you notice it in the rip side lenghths.
perhaps. I havent dug into it to see where i can adjust it. The top is flat with a level and if i square it with speed square right side is 90° but left isnt. And vice versa. Just seems odd.

Are you talking about a difference between one side of the blade versus the other?

Ok. Yeah that's weird. Not sure how one side can be 90 and they other isn't if the table is flat. When you rip a board, is the cut off square?

Could you flip the blade and put it in backwards (obviously don't run it) and measure how much it's out by? If the side that is out flips, then it's the blade thats out... if the side that is out stays the same it's the table.

Could it also be variations in the arbor or even something on the saw blade shaft?

As in, teeth on one side were ground flat relative to the saw plate, but teeth on the other side were not?
