Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

    I literally have control arms, spindle and shocks in. No bumps no straps. I cycled it as is to bind and full shock extension. 12.75” trying to figure out how I’m so damn far off.

    Only thing I could think of is that on the kits harry specs the shocks to have 7.5” stroke in order to protect the front end in case of limit strap failure. I wonder if it would pull that extra inch travel if you could get that extra 1/2” travel at the shock.

    It’s been going through my head. I’m going to get my CV’s finished up ASAP and see if I get cv bind with that spacer pulled from the shocks. Idk, I’m lost. Realistically that 1/2” is probably closer to 1” at the hub.

    Yes. With the shock disconnected it pulls 14.75 metal to metal.

    Ah there goes that idea. I was gonna say if the cv allowed, throw a longer rod end on there.

    Too many to remember
    I limit the stroke of the shocks because it prevents the 934 from getting into the danger zone. Pull the 1/2” spacer out of the shock and you will be blessed with an additional 1”+ of travel. Keep in mind you are playing with fire if you are hard on the CV’s at full droop/full lock

    The spacer is internal correct.

    Does my shock have this spacer in it? If I remove it then I have to adjust my limit straps as well.

    I'm guessing that all of the JD spec'd Kings will have the spacer. If not, you'd have two different specs for the same kit and things could easily get confusing.

    8 hrs in… Jesus Christ that was a lot of grinding. Have some decent gaps. I am going to use some ratchet straps to get as much of the gaps out as I can.

    Put the skid on also to help square it up. We didn’t on mine and had to get crafty to make it work.
