valve cover gaskets? might be different on a 4cyl than my 6
i already had that one go after just shy of 22yrs

I meant adjustment on the clutch (sorry) mine is seeming kinda sticky in the colder temps

i have been doing the tranny fluid approx every 30k (might be overkill lol)

    Never did any adjustment.

No stickiness in gears till about 450,000 if I remember and it was
the shift shift bushing that was worn out.

After a new stick shift bushing was like butter.

It’s and easy fix, get the OEM part, there are two pieces. Hardest part will probably be trying to push the spring down to unlock it from the housing as it typically gets stuck with gunk

Before replacing my clutch, I put in a new clutch master and slave cylinder, stick bushing and seat, and replaced the fluid with Redline MT90. Shifting was super smooth. I It felt like a new truck.

I hit 322K while on a road trip to CO from FL. Just under 4000 miles total. Left on the June 10th, and came back the 27th (3 days early).
Truck ran smooth, with no problems. I even got better gas mileage with the bed full of camping gear, two kayaks, and the extra cab filled with clothes, bedding, and a cooler. I kept my average top speed at 75. Got 21 - 23 mpg.

That’s a few miles! How about some pictures of that rig?
What mileage did you change the ball joints?

I did ball joints at 280k I bought it at 220k 5 years ago I'm hoping someone did them before me but they were factory ones so maybe a stealership did them not sure. I did timing chain and water pump at 260k it's been an awesome truck

Also did these back in December. They've been nice. A little stiff but I went for stiffer could because I knew that I'd be ordering my winch bumper which should be here late this month. I went with an srq fab closed wing hybrid hoping it looks as good as I hope it will.

Man, that is an absolutely gorgeous truck. This whole thread is full of truck porn.

I would love to buy a 1st Gen and keep it super clean like that but they’re so expensive these days. Guess I’ll just have to put 300K miles on mine lol
