Hey guys, I'm still waiting on my '22 LR trail edition. I love the stock bronze TRD wheels, but want a little more aggressive stance for them. I plan on picking up a set of 4 KSP 1.25" hub centric spacers and I see the recommendation for the extended open end lug nuts. My question is, are those the lug nuts for the spacer or the wheel? And if they are for the wheel will closed end extended lug nuts work instead? Or would I have to purchase both? Because I'd like to have black lug nuts on bronze wheels.

    Thanks in advance!

This is the link to the spacers:

I'd rather upsize to a nice aggressive tire, than going the spacer route.

I get that 100%, but I do like the tires that come with it and can't justify spending $1k+ on tires when they won't even be 33's. I'd rather get a look I'm happy with now and then dump money into tires when I'm ready to start voiding the warranty with a lift and chopping it up lol

The spacers come with the open ended lug nuts... don't buy any extra. Open ended lug nuts attach the spacer to your truck... use whatever lugs you want to attach your wheels to the spacer (as long as the closed-end lug nuts are appropriate for the wheel... mag washer style).

Go with Bora, or Spidertrax. Top quality.

I will check them out, thanks. If I can justify spending $1500 on headlights, there's no reason I should be cheaping out on something like wheel spacers lol

I know it comes with a set of the open ended lug nuts which is why the recommendation for extended one's confused me. I've even heard someone recommend them in a mod video or something so idk what that's about

Also I should have asked. What's everyone's opinion on 1.25" spacers vs 1.5" spacers on stock wheels? Is it purely preference on how much wheel poke you want or is will 1.5" cause rubbing?

They might have one open lug to fit both of their 1" and 1.25" spacers.
Might not have enough threads engage when used on the 1.25" one.
    I believe it's 8 threads on M12x1.5.

I just returned two unopened boxes of 1.25" Spidertrax because I had just gotten my wheel wells perfectly trimmed for 395x17s and didn't want to risk having to make adjustments... I'm also tired of mud flying passed the fender flares. Considering you'll most likely have to make cuts when you go with larger tires in the future, why not go with 1.5s and risk a little cutting now if you have to?

I hear you on that. I just checked out some videos of 1.5s on stock suspension and seems like they will be okay so I may go with them. I may even end up making some custom mud flaps out of the thick rubber mud flaps off of a mack truck. I'm thinking I might be better off just waiting for the truck before I pull the trigger. I dont want to spend $300 making the wrong decision lol

1.25 spidertrax are the best way to go. I have them on my tacoma on stock trd wheels and have been fine. Had them with 265/75 tires and now 285/75

Thanks for the input! Do you have any pics with the 265/75?

I've always worried about the quality and suspension geometry effects that spacers have. Plus I personally think a flush with the fender look is better.

Ya they sit just about flush.

1.25" spacers are essentially wheels with different backspacing as far as the suspension components know, it does the same thing as aftermarket wheels. The only difference is you have a spacer between your wheel, so there is one additional part. However, spidertrax have a pretty solid track record. I noticed right away less body roll, I had stock wheels with no spacers for 4 years. I love these spacers just for the added stability not to mention my truck looks way better now. To each their own though.

    Here are 285/75

Wish wheel manufacturers would step up more for tacoma crowd. Not a fan of spacers.
