Enjoying watching the progress of your truck @thedirttaco. That thing was a dumpster. It’s light years away from when you picked it up. Nice work mike. Keep it up!

Huh, did not know that. I did a quick google search.and it seems there are people that still use P/S fluid and report no problems. I'll go with the recommended ATF when the time comes though.

Oh man! Not going to lie I laughed a bit at your little collision. I’ve been dang close to the same situation myself though. I always leave my truck in neutral, but I let my friends drive occasionally and most of them leave their cars in first after shut down. There was an incident with clutch start cancel one time after I let a friend drive lol.

I do have to say that water heater is a tank! (Pun intended). The Tacoma definitely lost against it.

I'm always parked in 1 - why do neutral?

Because I have a parking brake and it’s nice to reach through the window to start my truck with clutch start cancel.

I always leave it in gear. I didn’t step in the truck to start it.

I just reached in an put one hand on the clutch to start it and another to turn the key. Wasn’t thinking and just dropped the clutch on it.

shit almost ran me over :bikewheelie2:

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Bumper looks nice. Not sure I would have used sch40 pipe as it tends to get brittle when welded. Yes, DOM is more expensive, but it is far superior. Electroweld is somewhat cheaper than DOM and still a better choice than pipe. The tube notcher probably would've worked better on the softer tube, though at those angles, maybe not.

    Ha no problem.

I don't think $270 for a ready to go fender is that bad, especially for California.
